D, 15 Sep 2021It is not required to have 8k monitor to compare frames, e.g. using VirtualDub or some other v... morethat is not going to tell you if the video plays smooth, besides there are B-frames too, and if you wan to compare frames, you would have to compare I frames to I frames and B frames to B frames, at which point you would use some scripts to capture a frame, using a player at thins point will not help you if you take a screenshot of a frame, bcoz you will not know what kind of frame it is, you would have to extract frames from the video file and know what kind of frames are those....and then look on the whole video for a frame with same content and both being for example I frame; of course if you wan to go that far, i won't, that is why i would compare videos while playing them, you can then pause and compare side by side, which is not different from the screenshot comparison, but this will maybe show artifacts on a still frame.

(it fixes some annoying th... morei can't compare 8K since i don't have any TV or monitor capable of that, all my TVs and monitors are 4K only, and at that resolution i can't really tell which is better if comparing P40Pro to S20Ultra, at night all of them suck. I have the feeling that Mate30Pro could take better videos at night.

(it fixes some annoying things in S20 U). Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra has sharper and better 8k mode than S21 Ultra, but at night many people don't like strong noise reduction, frame doubling / ringing effect, which cannot be reduced or turned off. That is great if the phone is on a tripod, producing unmatched video footage quality in low light and dark room conditions, but the side effect is still annoying. P40 Pro is good, but video mode is not as great as on S20 Ultra, and it cannot even be compared to S21 Ultra (newer gen). But, as you say, cost is 2-3 times greater.

Gallery app cannot be uninstalled or... moreit's not like i need the gallery at all, i transfer pics via ftp transfer to my PC, btw Videos are better on P30 series than on this phone, 4K lags, well if you stop the video it is quite fine, but playback is somehow ruined by the phone and saved as such, i compare it to my other phones, only Mate10Pro seems to be worse in quality, but playback is smooth.P40Pro and S20Ultra are noticeably better, but hey this phone is from 2019 and costs half of what the mentioned did, it still takes pics that can beat latest Samsung and definitely any Huawei flagship.

Gallery app cannot be uninstalled or disabled on non-rooted phone (it will soft brick the device), maybe it is possible on rooted phones, idk. Which means it is heavily integrated into the system.

I have this phone for like 1.5 year and I'm satisfied with it and its camera. Now i have a deal to exchange it with Huawei P30 Pro just for the camera. is huawei so much better in taking photos and deserves the deal?

Had to do some adjustments, remove... moreyea, that withe the gallery was going on for some time, but at the same time one other thing, i have not tried to reset all defaults, but if i try to set Google Photos as default app for pictures, nothing happens, Gallery still opens pictures :| and if i remove it's permissions to read files, i can't open pictures without gallery prompting for access, but i can open them if i open the Photos app first.

Android 12 is coming! Awesome phone, perfect for the price. Had to do some adjustments, remove bloatware etc. but overall very good. Annoyed by built-in video player in Gallery app, the play/pause buttons at diametral different positions on screen are killing me. Also, the fact that you need internet connection in order to use crop, image levels adjustments is nuts. But, that aside, it is great.

Those Xiaomi phones, only works 1.... morecan't confirm your claim, this phone had from day one some hick ups, once a while some apps would lag for a second or two, this has not changed even now, so in terms of stability there has been no changes. I own the MiNote10 since end of November 2019
in daylight the camera still destroys other flagship phones, and with the updates that came, even pics at night are awesome, no flagship phone could best this phone so far if it comes to picture quality.

planned obsolescence is something that no one is comparing. Those Xiaomi phones, only works 1.5 years. after that, they got irregular performance. so think about it.

Mostly people buy mobile due to camera.
I have tried lots of mobile having outstanding cameras.
I want to share real opinion with you.
I am not a lover of Huawei mobiles. This is only company who uses Leica lenses in their costly mobile. Leica company is a German Company. Leica lenses are used in Nikon and Canon cameras. Now you can understand very easily.
Check the result of Mate 20 pro,P20 pro, P30.

in halp of the c... moreoh really? i got S20 Ultra and P40Pro from Huawei, the Huawei horrible as it doesn't have a normal speaker, the Samsung is as bad or worse than this Xiaomi phone.
Mi Note10 unlocks with face/fingerprint like 95 times out of 100 tries, Samsung can't achieve even half of that, and the Huawei get's it 99 to 100/100.
S20 Ultra after several updates can nearly match the picture quality of this MiNote10, still the file size is overblown, MiNote10 wins the battle if it's about picture quality and file size.
battery lasts longer on MiNote10 than on the S20Ultra.
It's true that the Samsung has a better felling to it, seems it has better build quality and that is all there is to it....almost actually, go to the Samsung community page, it starts with how to solve errors with crashing apps 🤣🤣🤣 and then posts from users, countless posts with different problems. Just Samsung.
