I got android 12 on Miui 13.0.1 so far so good. Was surprise to see the update to be honest but it's still smooth hopefully it remains so for some years to come.

I don't get why eveyone is hating this one. It is truly a hidden gem.
1- Insanely super long life battery.
2- Premium materials makes it feel like flagship, and looks like one too.
3- Beautiful screen and one of the least annoying curved screens.
4- Natural coloured photos compared to other phones with 2 flash colour options.
5- Has the basics right: AptX, 3.55 port and fast charging with a charger in the box (30W)
6- The screen is under 6.5" and curved = easy one hand use and feel.
I wish I did not have to sell mine after more than 1.5 years of use, but I needed money to upgrade to 11T Pro. I love this phone so much, if you can get one, I highly recommend it. (8ram-128rom)

When I now got this phone it had proximity sensor issues like scrolling or navigating through the phone was the worst was contemplating to carry it back and get a replacement however I stuck with it and was rewarded for my patience as the last couple of updates fix the proximity sensor issues that was plaguing the phone for the first 4 months of use and now after having the phone for 19 months I can say with confidence the phone is smooth as butter. Currently on 12.5.7 version of Miui

Had this phone for about 14 months. Disapointing in any way. Problems with the proximity sensor since day one. The screen sometimes is unresponsive until lock/unlock. Moved to cheap Samsung A22 which for now is much better phone. Will never buy Xiaomi again in my lif.

MIUI 12.5 is downgrade in every segments in reality. Made my device feels like a low end device. but now no more.

The Phone was overall great until it lasted but won't recommend it, really loved the experience of 1 year and 7 days after which suddenly its motherboard got problem which required replacing it with a new one and in Pakistan the cost of getting a new motherboard imported is almost about 60 percent of the phone's price itself, if i had to spend this much why wouldn't have i gotten a flagship phone from Samsung or a Oneplus or an iPhone. So regret the purchase.

These manufacturer downgrading our devices through updates.

Especially Fragile Glass. Fix Using System: Anti-Flicker & Change Notification Effect To None + Battery Saver Helps But No Much. Disable Animation Helps Too.

Mine I Brought As Used Flicker Screen, After Hours Of Tweaking With System & Develop System It Seem Tiny Flicker On The Bottom Of The Screen & Rarely Light Flicker On Whole Screen, So Is Usable For Now. This Model Does Have Lot Screen Issue Due To Fragile Glass.

Had Mi 5s Plus (was a brilliant phone, used it for ~4 years). Bought this one and at the start it had screen responsiveness issues, but they disappeared after the update. So far I am very happy with the phone, battery is pretty big, cameras are fairly good, performance is fine
