I used Ipad,Samsung,Nexus and a few more. When my buddy share with me Xiaomi Mipad. At first i laughed and thought, it was crap and chinese tech ,no matter how good it is, there should be limitation. There comes to a point my nexus crashed and I decded to look for a new Tab. I took quite a while reviewed and researched a handful with specs, features, size, new os and most importantly pricing.Trust me, weeks to find the best specs. Perhaps m the type who must own something which is the best when comes to specs and cheap price. Well, after all the reviews and most critically a video Xiaomi Mipad launching ’i m convinced this is the new tab i must try. A clone of Ipads os and yet androids features. Well..let me share with you. I got my tab with lots of high expectation, imagined the best outcome but hey!,i was damn disappointed with the original os. Well, don get me wrong, there was some limitations and I was a bit down. The screens and display and others are just fine but the android or the miui os was a bit letdown. But i decided to pursue for the newer upgrade. Trust me, if you are totally new to chinese os or needs some troubleshoot, you got to prepare to google intensively, otherwise you gonna bump into deadend. After cracking my heads and finally i gotten the latest OS! Man, i got to tell you...its flawless and just a little upgrade! That tablet transfomred into something so precious! I din expect lil upgrade would made such a big difference on the tab. The fonts, screen, and even the keypad are absolutrly marvelous. Now i m ready to look after the tab after i thought its cheap chinese tab at first. No regrets after what i have gone through and paid for this lil new monster. Now i would say, this giant com will only be better with the latest OS edition. And I think they mean big business in years to come. For me i have to get used to my tab GF by the name of Xiaomi Mipad.
Why no 2g network or call support how useful is to carry such a device when laptops are used for presentations can't u put another version of mi pad costing a little higher with 2g support
So, how good is it when it comes to taking notes? I've seen lots of reviews on this new tablet but they all go around the same topics, and none does mention the quality and capacity for stylus and gesture recognition, or simply raises the question as to wether it should be thought as a good note-taking device. Can anybody test that and give a decent approach on it?
AnonD-290680, 04 Aug 2014Without GPS can it run maps?? If yes will it support navigation?? It can run maps.. but wont suppot navigatio i think .. If u have another android device, there are many softwares that can let u use that gps in tab.. explore on intenet..
the hardware is great but the ui is terrible..being the first tablet and market experimentation by xiaomi, mipad lacks a lot of things and they need to sort it quick before a review of this nature comes out more and more each day.
