Xiaomi launched the Mix Flip, its first flip-style foldable smartphone, back in July, and according to a new report from China it was very successful over there.
So much so, in fact, that its successor is planned to arrive earlier than initially expected. It will allegedly land before the end of June, and it will be a major iteration, not just a small incremental upgrade.
Original Xiaomi Mix Flip
The Mix Flip 2 will use Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, and it will be thinner than its predecessor while also packing IPX8 water resistance rating and support for wireless charging.

So it's looking like a pretty good update indeed, we'll let you know when we find out more about it. In the meantime, you can read our in-depth review of the original Mix Flip to get a hang of what to expect from Xiaomi's interpretation of this form factor.
Bruh BRUH! A FLIP is gonna pack a Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC?! Before a FOLD of any kind?! They ain't PLAYIN ! Xiaomi gonna be taking/grabbin ass and kicking names in 2025!!
Hope that Mix Flip 2 will be much thinner that Mix Flip. Otherwise these type of devices make no sense at all: they look and feel just like a regular phone bended in half...
