Selvakumar, 28 Aug 2021I got net Speed 670 Mbps from Ookla Speed test, it's not fake 5g What's your exact Poco F2 Pro model/variant and what's the exact software version? If it's older than MIUI 12.5.2 then there's no 5G issues. Update to MIUI 12.5.2 and you'll be stuck with 4G only connection that Xiaomi maliciously labels as 5G. You'll know once you do Ookla speedtest. Connection will be shown as 'LTE' but the phone signal tells you it's 5G. What a fakery by Xiaomi. The previous software version at least had real 5G but it turns off the other SIM when you choose 'Prefer 5G'.
Anyone using custom roms for poco f2 pro on android 11/miui12
BEN90, 27 Aug 2021And why am I in a 4g area, and 4g is what's constantly showing, since there's no 5g ... moreTry this: Go to Settings - SIM cards & mobile networks. Tap the SIM card you are using for mobile data. Next, under 'Preferred network type', tap 'Prefer 5G'. You'll instantly have 5G logo on your data network even if your area has no 5G. And even if you move to an area with strong 5G signal, you'll still be connected to 4G/LTE as evidenced by ookla speedtest.
BEN90, 27 Aug 2021And why am I in a 4g area, and 4g is what's constantly showing, since there's no 5g ... moreI can confirm after 12.5.2 update, the Poco F2 Pro no longer runs on 5G even when the other SIM card is turned off. The network logo displays 5G if you choose "Prefer 5G" but it is still actually connected to a 4G network. It will NEVER connect to a 5G network even when 5G signal is strong and is available. It's basically displaying '5G' logo all the time if you choose 'Prefer 5G' but the truth is, it will never connect to a 5G network even when 5G is available.
The Poco F2 Pro has gone from bad to worse. The latest MIUI 12.5.2 update has disabled real 5G and made it a 4G only phone. Although you'll still see the fake 5G logo on your network signal (which really is 4G). You'll realize it's fake 5G because speedtests (Ookla speedtest app) will consistently show slow non 5G speeds and the speedtest app shows 'LTE' (instead of '5G').
BE SERIOUSLY WARNED: If you're a 5G user and want real 5G, DO NOT UPDATE to MIUI 12.5.2 which transforms the Poco F2 Pro phone from a 5G phone to a 4G only phone!

Have you tried going to the 5G area and trying it out?
After 1 year miracle happened, battery got increased. As per Xiaomi's official website and specs, battery capacity is now 5020 mAh, not 4700 mAh as per GSM.
Selvakumar, 17 Aug 2021My mobile got 12.5.2 Europe update, now (Dual SIM) 5G and 4G working without any problemVery clever Xiaomi. Dual SIM operation with '5G' is now possible except that the network logo displays 5G even when the area doesn't have 5G towers and even when actual connection is only 4G. The fake 5G display logo on the network is a scam.
den, 20 Aug 2021The 12.5.2 Europe update take another 1gb of storage after cleaning the device not good! What do you mean by "taking another 1 gb"?
Anyway, I'm using the Version and it's so smooth.
Nevertheless I ain't happy that they've not put an option to change the recents app tab to be either vertical or horizontal, like in other devices with miui 12.5. I wonder what's difficult there

Anyone got 184.108.40.206 for global version? This came like a month after the miui 12.5.1
Im on miui 12.5 for some time now. Its smooth and working fine.
Some issues with dubble apps but besides that everything is fine.

N its all good. I have oneplus 7t for comparison..n the smoothness is almost the same even though 7t has 90hz refresh rate.

The reason I'm criticizing it is because of the horrendous Xiaomi update that deserved criticism. Android 10 was perfect and the phone was perfect until Xiaomi had to ruin it for selfish reasons - it doesn't want users to use custom launchers. If nobody expresses disgust, Xiaomi will never correct it and Poco F2 Pro users will be forced to use Xiaomi's poor Poco launcher which is nowhere near in versatility, finesse, functionality, customizability and smoothness of Nova launcher. I don't want that to happen because I invested my hard earned money on this phone and fixing the software is as easy as allowing users to rollback which Xiaomi doesn't allow, or releasing a new software with bug fixes to fix gesture bugs with custom launchers like Nova launcher.

You've already answered his question within the first two lines . If you don't like the phone, sell it and move on. Just staying here bashing poco f2 pro is starting to look ridiculous.
It's not a perfect smartphone, but it's an excellent one, and at its price range, it's a smartphone to beat
Amazing phone but it has a few weak points :
-Display suffers from black crush
-miui is a heavy skin with a few bugs here and there, also it doesn't feel as smooth as stock Android, even with sd865
-H+ ( 3g ) is missing some bands in Europe and might not work in some places with some carriers
- if you care about 5g, this phone has only the 3.5 GHz band so you won't have 5g in most places
Anonymous, 29 Jul 2021Does anyone know if the V220.127.116.11.RJKEUXM supports Nova Launcher? Thank youNope. Gesture navigation won't work. You'll have to unhide the navigation bar so you can tap the home, recent apps or back button. It effectively ruins the full display experience of the hole free Poco F2 Pro. Xiaomi forces users to stay on the default Poco launcher so it can monitor user activity and the users' usage pattern and habits, to improve the horrendously buggy MIUI software update and for some other backdoor activities.
