Have it fixed by a qualified technician in a Xiaomi service center. It's a cheap, easy fix. It's unfortunate many are experiencing battery charging problems even before this phone is a year old. Really bad quality control from Xiaomi. Such a glaring factory/design defect is unacceptable for a phone at this price level. Even entry level Redmi phones don't have this problem.
CD, 01 Jul 2021Just received MIUI 12.5.1 Global update in UK.Received the update to and installed it. It's the same buggy mess. Four really sore issues below still not fixed:
1. That stupid bottom center bar (gesture bar) that can't be hidden on full display mode and which chops off content which started with the Android 11 update up to the latest MIUI 12.5.1. Other Xiaomi phones on Android 11 allow this stupid gesture bar to be hidden!
2. Inability to use ADB commands to hide the status bar and navigation bar after the Android 11 update (debug command: adb shell settings put global policy_control immersive.status=*),
3. Navigation swipe gestures do not work in full display/full screen mode when using 3rd party launchers including Nova launcher (the most popular third party launcher). This software bug is only present in Android 11; still dysfunctional even in the latest MIUI 12.5.1.
4. Inability to use dual SIM if you want to use 5G. In both the Android 10 and Android 11 update of the Poco F2 Pro, if you want 5G on one SIM, it will force you to turn off the other SIM making dual SIM operation impossible, which is just insane! Other 5G capable Xiaomi phones don't do this, that is, you can set one SIM to 5G and still have the second SIM turned on!
Horrible Xiaomi software support. It's been 7 months and 3 updates and still not one of these nasty bugs fixed!
After 11 months my Poco F2 Pro is not charging. Saw a video in youtube which fixed my phone for about 3 days. It indicates that it is charging but the % in the battery indicator does not go up. Now I'm waiting for it to die.
Here is the video that helped me somewhat with the issue (battery connector)

Had to have it repaired. It's a cheap and easy repair but for a phone at this price range, having many owners experiencing this issue before the phone even reaches 1 year is a testament of Xiaomi's sloppy quality control. And we're not even talking about software bugs/issues yet in the Android 11 update and Xiaomi's absence of bug fixes to the Android 11 software rolled out ALMOST 7 MONTHS ago!

still a great phone. can run anything I throw at it. graphic intensive apps runs smoothly. I also edit videos with no issue.

1. That stupid bottom center bar that can't be hidden on full display mode and which chops off content which happened after the Android 11 update (no issues in Android 10),
2. Inability to use ADB commands to hide the status bar and navigation bar after the Android 11 update (debug command: adb shell settings put global policy_control immersive.status=*),

The many other minor bugs that came with Android 11 on the Poco F2 Pro, I can live with.
By comparison, all Samsung phones running Android 11 (OneUI 3.1) don't have any of the above 4 issues. If Xiaomi fixes these 4 issues or AT LEAST, allow SOFTWARE ROLLBACK to Android 10 by disabling ARB (anti rollback protection) when the bootloader is unlocked (like what happens in Pixel and most Android phones), I'll be more than happy recommending again the Poco F2 Pro as I strongly did in the past when it had Android 10.

Both are in m... moreIf you don't need 5G in a phone and want a much better android software experience and longer, better software updates with no horrendous bugs, get the Samsung A72 4G. Now if you want 5G support, wait for the Samsung A72 5G or get the slightly smaller A52 5G. Now if you're a gamer or absolutely must have a powerful flagship processor, get a Samsung S20 FE 4G (if you don't need 5G) or the Samsung S20 FE 5G, if you need 5G support. It's a way much better phone than the Poco F2 Pro ever is. I just wish Samsung had a pop up selfie camera though on the S20 FE 5G and it would have been perfect.
