Global ROM MIUI 12.2.4.0., Android 11
YES or NO
the question now is whether they have fixed the errors or not yet to wait.
This was a major upgrade from my Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X.
I've had a great time with the device since I purchased it around Halloween 2020.
MIUI 12 on Android 11 is a beautiful experience but I love flashing custom ROMs, this is something that came from keeping my Note 4 up to date.
I have to recommend Pitch Black recovery with Xiaomi.eu's latest Stable or Weekly or even ArrowOS which I am on right now and can't help pmnut feel comfortable with.

hello everyone. what is the maximum wattage does this poco f2 pro charge? thank you in advance :D
Really wish Xiaomi release an updated Android 11 soon. One that is as smooth and bug free as the Mi A3.
*yes I agree, the software is a mess
The SOT mess came with an update (maybe miui 12, I forgot already)
But yes, I agree is a mess - 500 eur for the 256gb version!
How come the screen on time in battery settings resets itself and loses track? How come the camera HDR disable itself all the time no matter if set to on all the time? Why are there so many little irritations like this in a fully released, consumer device!!
MladenJ, 07 Mar 2021A new update Global ROM MIUI 12.2.4.0., Android 11 has arrived, whether to install it or not... moreGo ahead, join the party XD
MladenJ, 07 Mar 2021A new update Global ROM MIUI 12.2.4.0., Android 11 has arrived, whether to install it or not... moreDO NOT INSTALL. I repeat, DO NOT INSTALL. It's the MOST HORRIBLE software Xiaomi has released to date, and I've had many Xiaomi phones past and present - 10+ of them and none comes close to the Poco F2 Pro's horrendous Android 11 update (MIUI 12.2.4.0)! BE WARNED!
A new update Global ROM MIUI 12.2.4.0., Android 11
has arrived, whether to install it or not if you have any problems.
Wait ..... 🤔😱🤔
Satya, 07 Feb 2021Ya, just started realising it.. I really wonder when a feature not working despite clear demon... moreNow i am really starting to thinking that they didnt check this..
The 8gb model is no different, still kills apps...
Monks tail, 03 Mar 2021If this thing really has 6gb ram, why do the apps restart so often? Are we being lied to in sp... moreIt's a MIUI thing. Xiaomi is so aggressive at memory handling killing background apps so often even when there's plenty of RAM left. It's one of the things I don't like about MIUI. You may opt for the 8GB RAM /256GB internal storage option given MIUI's background app killing tendencies but then again, the Android 11 update is so bad I'd advice you to steer away unless your idea of fun is tweaking and workarounds to get over the quirks and deficiencies.
If this thing really has 6gb ram, why do the apps restart so often? Are we being lied to in specs or is it terrible software? Either way, you get what you pay for. Phone is good, but not great. Everything follows from this, camera, screen, battery life etc, all not impressive, just about okay, except some things like the memory management and flakiness of operating system in general. I'd say try before you buy.
Genesis, 23 Feb 2021Nonsense,
Every brand has issues here and there. Miracast has ALWAYS been a buggy mess acro... moreYou obviously don't have enough expertise or experience with other phone brands. For once, try comparing Miracast functionality of even a midrange phone from Samsung and flagship one from Xiaomi and you'll see just how factual my comments are. DRM encoded content: black screen on Xiaomi/Huawei but 100% seamless and problem free with the Samsung. Try miracast of offline Netflix downloads with China branded phones - Huawei, Oppo, Xiaomi, Vivo, Oneplus, Realm, etc. BLACK SCREEN but 100% problem free with Samsung and LG. That's just how UNPREDICTABLE and UNRELIABLE DRM support for those China based phones are, even if they claim Widevine L1 certification. They may sometimes support Netflix but not Amazon, Disney, HBO Go, or Hulu or all of them. That's a FACT. The streaming services and Hollywood studios will have the last say and no WIDEVINE L1 CERTIFICATION will ASSURE that support, get it?
And NO, I am NOT delusional about Chinese government mandating BACKDOORS for ALL APPS and smartphone software/hardware designed there. Samsung phones and iPhones may be assembled in China but the software and hardware design and security are NOT CONTROLLED by the government. You CANNOT SAY THE SAME for Huawei, Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo, Oneplus, Lenovo, Realme, and other home grown China phone brands. And before you accuse me of being anti China, know this: my household currently has/had 10+ Xiaomi/Huawei phones/tablets, and only 2 Samsung/LG. And I criticize weaknesses of both phone brands and appreciate their strengths.
Anonymous, 08 Feb 2021Yes, I also bought this phone because XIAOMI WIDELY PUBLICIZED then that it has Widevine L1 ce... moreNonsense,
Every brand has issues here and there. Miracast has ALWAYS been a buggy mess across all brands and is not a feature anyone should count on or use as a buying decision EVER. Anyone who does is....I'll be polite and just say they aren't too bright. Bad features or software bugs occur within any brand and sometimes its a widespread issue, other times its not and requires a phone wipe or a replacement device in order to clear up. It works fine on my end so I do not know what to tell you. I suggest you check their community forums to see if it is a widespread issue before whining here.
Your anti China rant is uncalled for considering nearly ALL phone brands are manufactured there, software installed and boxed for sale in China. If you are delusional enough to believe there is some sort of magical room where a safezone exists to prevent software tampering then you need help. Any Government knows this as well and the majority of their nonsense is posturing for the media.
GameDos, 17 Feb 2021Why does this have a smaller battery capacity but shows more video playback life than the mi 1... moreAMOLED screen saves battery, compared to the IPS LCD in 10t
My f2 pro having problem with HDR playback on youtube app, it looks like light leakage on top & bottom/watching cheap LCD screen. Comparing my 20 months old mi 9T still in perfect black.
For none HDR vids, no problem was found.
