My Poco F2 Pro is notvusable - bootlooping after MIUI 14 update so its hopeless. Before, it had charging problem and battery drain which was partly fixed but with this bootlooping problem, it's unusable. Will not waste my money on a Xiaomi phone ever again. Again, to those who still have the phone in OK condition: JUST DON'T UPDATE if you're not ready to buy a new phone.
hello guys i need help , my phone after update yesterday to miui 14 stable released , after few hours my phone no longer detect sim card both sim cards , and no wifi detect .
so i reformated hard reset and on new setup menu the poco f2 pro cant detect sim cards and no wifi signal , i dont know what to do , lucky i backup all my stuff before i formatted the phone. it happened like previous poco f1 same trouble and problem repeated no sim cards detected and no wifi signal and after formatted cant foward to setup because need sim card and wifi connection & no cellular signal. help !.
I procrastinated for a long time to install MIUI 14 and when I installed it I noticed that the battery drains faster and that when I am not using the mobile phone it means that it is on but I am not using it and the battery drains 2-3% in an hour. I turned off the automatic start of all applications when after a while time or restart, they turn on by themselves and normally consume the battery and so again how to solve it. The biggest problem for me if I have to reset my mobile phone to factory settings is that I have to reinstall the bank application and go to my bank to re-register the SIM number because it can't be done online, so that's my biggest problem.
do you need a factory reset better option is to download the pc tool and the entire update connect the phone to the pc and clean it completely

My Poco F2 Pro bootlooped just a few weeks after update to the latest MIUI 14. Sent it to service center but they were only able to fix the battery drain and charging problem that appeared after the update. I'll try another phone repair service before throwing it to the garbage bin and not updating or buying another Xiaomi phone ever.

Now, the speed of this phone competes head to head with my friend's iPhone 14 pro max
In my country, through an IT portal, I asked the users who have this mobile phone installed MIUI 14 Global and several of them answered me that they have not noticed a single problem so far, one user wrote that until now after every upgrade of the new Android And MIUI made sure to reset the factor and only then everything was completely OK. The only thing I've noticed so far is that my POCO only charges quickly with the original Xioami cable and 33W charger, and I have Baseus chargers of 100 and 120 W and with them the 100W cable charges very slowly or won't charge at all.
I've got my Poco F2 Pro for almost 3 years since I bought it last November 2020, when I got my hands on the phone, I quickly set the automatic to updates off. My experience with the phone is still okay and bearable since I am still on MIUI 11.0.4. I've never updated it since then, but the performance is still reliable, and no issues with the performance for most of the time that I'm using the phone.
Pros for me:
The camera is always good for its price
The Snapdragon 865 can always perform best in games like PUBG, CODM, and Apex Legends.
Fast file transfer speed (UFS 3.1), for 3 years the 256 GB is still not full
In display fingerprint is still responsive like the first time I bought it. (MIUI 11.0.4).
Still, good gaming and overall phone to use in 2023.
Cons for me:
Sometimes loading the home screen after pressing the home button or the recent app button is taking 30 secs to show the apps which is a rare occurrence for me and not an issue considering it is a 3-year-old phone.
Overall, this phone is worth my money, btw I never updated it because of my experiences with my Pocophone F1. I learned my lesson on that phone, you should never update your Xiaomi phone. (if you want to take the risk of your phone getting some issues after updating.)
Update it! don't be afraid..mine smooth running after updating to miui 14. No problem AT ALL so far!
MladenJ, 10 Apr 2023Its possibile return old MIUI 13 on mobile after
MIUI 14 or another UI ......As I mentioned, you will not be able to downgrade to an older MIUI version once you upgrade. You will be stuck with the battery drain issues, charging issies, fingerprint malfunctioning issues and so on, forever. It's my advice, take ot or leave it.
Some users here say there is absolutely NO PROBLEM. So go ahead, you may be lucky. My 256GB Poco F2 Pro became charger selective after update to MIUI 14. It will no longer charge with other chargers after the update and will only charge with the original charger and charging cable in the box. And when it charges, it takes now a lot longer and the battery drains faster. As for the fingerprint sensor, it stopped working when I updated to the previous update just before the MIUI update. Xiaomi is killing my Poco F2 Pro slowly so that I will never suspect it.
So if you want to listen to the others without problems, go ahead, update your Poco F2 Pro. It's your phone and your money. Not mine.
Chaotic1981, 09 Apr 2023Dude you're a malicious troll and i don't know why they let you post here at all. If... moreI am entitled to share my experience especially because I have owned more than 10 Xiaomi phones which I bought for family members: from Mi Max 1, Mi Max 2 (2pcs), Mi Max 3, Redmi 4, Redmi 4x (2pcs) Redmi Note 4, Poco F2 Pro, Mi A3, and a Mi pad 4 tablet and only the Xiaomi devices that I avoided updating are still alive today despite being 4-5 years old! I was a diehard Xiaomi fan until I noticed the planned obsolescence pattern - Xiaomi slowly killing old model Xiaomi phones with updates that drain the battery more, make the charging slower or selective charging malfunctioning (no longer charges with other chargers - only charges with the original charger in the box), fingerprint sensor malfunctioning, and so many other phone problems and bugs that will render the old Xiaomi phone useless that you will be forced to throw it away and buy a new one!
So don't stop me from advising Xiaomi owners of 2 year old or older Xiaomi phones
asking for advise that THEY SHOULD NEVER UPDATE a 2 year old or older Xiaomi phone or tablet! I am not against updating for as long as the Xiaomi phone is 1 year old or newer. But for 2 year old or older Xiaomi phones, I am advising from experience JUST DON'T UPDATE unless you are prepared for the HUGE/HIGH possibility you may need to buy a new phone should the update result to battery draining, charging problems, fingerprint malfunctioning, etc. etc.
MladenJ, 10 Apr 2023Its possibile return old MIUI 13 on mobile after MIUI 14 or another UI ......I dont know bro. But for me miui 14.0 is good so far. So better u update it. Its an honest information as a true f2 pro owner for 2 years now.
It has been 3 years but phone is still very fast and handle everything well. I have installed MIUI Global 14.0.1 last week and it gets 8 hours screen time for me still.
Anonymous, 22 Mar 2023MIUI Global 14.0.1.0(SJKEUXM) just instaled.
OK.And after 20 days everything is still OK.
Moreover, battery lasts longer and phone feels a little faster.
Here people are no longer smart, who lies and who writes the truth .. So far I have not had any problems with MIUI 13 Global, the battery lasts less and less, but it is the third year of the mobile phone, which is fine, please advise if something goes wrong with MIUI 14 and I can't restore MIUI 13, is it possible to insert some other software into the POCO phone?
