No phone with snapdragon 865 will remain cool while playing processor demanding games at the highest graphics settings while recording! You're asking too much. Even midrange processors heat up significantly when recording even just a continuous 15 minute 4K video.
Francis, 20 Aug 2020Ok thanks for the nice explanation. Therefore, you can conclude that OIS is not that important... moreLet me correct that. The effect of OIS is only noticeable in TELEPHOTO cameras. Its presence in the main phone cameras (wideangle) and in ultrawide angle cameras are insignificant. The longer the telephoto the lens, the more important the presence of OIS to lessen the effect of camera shake. And yes, the Poco F2 Pro is better in camera and video performance and quality compared to the NORD at about the same price as the NORD and with so much more to offer.
heyitsmkbhdtheboss, 20 Aug 2020only missing feature is the wireless charging :3not ois also.
Poco f2 pro heats up. I played pubgm for about an hour in tdm smooth extreme settings while recording and the max cpu temp is almost 70 degrees. This really sucks
Only two missing features are the wireless charging and radio FM
Anonymous, 19 Aug 2020Should I get the base model of 6gb of ram or the 8gb variant? Thanks. The difference is hardly noticeable..if you are having extra money knowing what not to do with then go with the 8GB variant.. :)
only missing feature is the wireless charging :3

Therefore, you can conclude that OIS is not that important if just using main camera and not telephoto & ultrawide, right? And also, can we say is POCO F2 Pro better in photography and video compare with Oneplus nord when using gcam?if yes, then i can now decide poco even if i'm not a gamer but for long lasting usage and display/camera enthusiast.

Most of your complaints are down to customization and gut feel. If you don't customize your phone interface ever and just stick with the phone's default launcher, then you might as well have an iphone. Audio enjoyment is largely subjective. All phones have their signature sounds and default equalization settings. If you're not using an equalizer app, you'll never truly realize a phone's audio potential and truly made it's sound signature your own. As for your claim it's like a midrange device with snapdragon 865, I beg to strongly disagree. The premium metal build alone, the huge battery and the huge all screen display without notches or punch holes like your Huawei Mate 10 is simply beyond comparison. And with Huawei getting banned by Google, I don't think a Google-less experience is anything BUT premium.
$480 for 256GB of top of the line UFS 3.1 internal storage and with snapdragon 865, and perfect, HDR 10+ punch hole free and notch free flat screen display and with premium metal build that survived Jerry Rig Everything's torture tests is not a joke. It's a steal given the price! And forget about GCam with Night Sight on the Huawei with its Kirin Processor. Also forget about custom ROM development when that Huawei phone of yours loses the updates after official support from Huawei is over. Just look at the custom ROM support for Poco F1 and you'll have an idea. All those things are certainly not overkill for the aggressively affordable price of the Poco F2 Pro which NO, I repeat, NO Huawei flagship phone in existence can possibly ever offer, not before, not now, and certainly not in the future. Snapdragon rules and a Google-less experience is crippled unless you live in China.
Anonymous, 19 Aug 2020Agreed. But huawei is just a more premium looking phone and software is way better. I own a hu... moreNope. Both are practically the same software wise. EMUI and MIUI both have annoying quirks and it's not about the 'look' and 'feel' of the user interface which can be easily be made similar by customization using Nova launcher and developer options.
Memory handling of apps, multi - user functionality and micro sd card encryption are weaknesses of both compared to OneUI and those on near stock Android skins. Elegance in icon shapes, sizes, animations are largely cosmetic, customizable by custom launchers and developer settings. You can have practically identical icon appearance, size and layouts/grids and animations with custom launchers like Nova Launcher Prime. It's the memory handling of EMUI and MIUI and all those I've mentioned above that makes the most difference but no, EMUI is certainly not better than MIUI. It just boils down to how much android customization you like to do on your android device.

I'm using it for 3 days now, my initial take on this is it really is a powerful beast phone. But I'm a bit disappointed. It do get warm especially when charging and gaming though I think it's normal, the battery drains faster than I thought maybe I'm just overhyped because I watch a lot of reviews of it and the Ui, icon, keyboard, the phone app is ugly but it can be change anyway thats the perk of android. The haptic, the display and the audio and the 3.5 audio output is not that great my mate 10 is still better on that department with qhd and stereo speakers but poco has amoled though and aod I feel like it's unnecessary. It has lots of ads which you can remove may take some tweaking. Miui really is buggy Emui is way better I like the way it handle things. Fingerprint is faulty sometimes. The camera I haven't test that much yet but I think it's great except for the night mode. When I use the poco I feel like it's just a midrange device with snapdragon 865. My old phone still give me that premium feels even after more than 2 years. Overall poco f2 pro is a great phone. For $480 8gb/256? It's an overkill.
Francis, 19 Aug 2020Okay. Considering no OIS at Poco F2 Pro? Comparing gcam shots from poco f2 pro and nord, is th... moreOIS does not make for a significantly less blur free photo in wideangle cameras when shooting in low light - with the built in camera, and especially when using GCam with night sight. OIS only gives significant advantage in providing less camera shake/less camera blur in telephoto cameras which both the Poco F2 Pro and the lower specs Nord doesn't have. To repeat, OIS in wideangle and ultrawide angle cameras offer negligible benefits in low light and practically no benefit at all when using GCam with Night Sight or when shooting at day time or at brighter light conditions.
As for video, OIS has even less pronounced effect as regards video shakiness. No OIS is going to make better, professional looking videos if you're not using a gimbal. If you want professional looking results, only a gimbal will do. Smartphone 'steady modes' may look smoother, but they absolutely lose so much detail it's not worth it. And the stabilization they provide is soso compared to a gimbal. You'll still produce nauseating videos especially when walking around engaging those internally or electronically stabilized videos. If you are serious about high quality 4K or 8K video, only a real gimbal will do.

How to compete a Nord with OIS from this Poco F2 pro without using gimbal? Is there any huge difference in photography when using gcam for both of these phones? We all know SD865 is far better than SD 765g, its a nice thing for poco. I just want to know how to take advantage on using it's camera without OIS if I know the amount of difference on the photography.
