Does this phone support [Huawei NM card] in sim slot ?
Sun, 08 Jul 2020I got this problem ..On the Poco F2 Pro's dialer app, type *#*#4636#*#*. You'll see 'Phone Info 1' (SIM 1) and 'Phone Info 2' (SIM 2). I suggest you change network settings there for the SIM you are having problems to match the network signal your carrier offers. Would suggest you change preferred network type to 'LTE/WCDMA' or 'WCDMA only' or to 'WCDMA preferred' if you're in a place with spotty LTE, and set to 'LTE only' if LTE coverage in the area is excellent. Also check your SIM contacts are clean of oxidation (you can use a pencil eraser to remove oxidation from your nano SIM card contact). Also check if the nano SIM card/cards are placed properly and pressed snugly back to back or it can create lose SIM contact. If all else fails and the problem keeps on coming, have your SIM card replaced by your carrier (same number or new number) with a new one. The newer one might fit better. If everything above fails and the problem happens frequently, have your phone repaired or ask for a replacement/refund if within warranty period.
[deleted post]You sound like the Xiaomi smartphone you are using is not the same as the one I'm using.
There are certainly weakness on smartphone, but those are not limited to Xiaomi only.
I have used multiple brand of smartphone from various model, from low end to high end, all has pros and cons.
I would say technology improve very fast, and newer smartphone is getting better and better.
Xiaomi smartphone IMHO, is one of the best brand I have used before.
[deleted post]Although I have been using phones from the mi flagship series, I have been quite pleased with them. All of my family uses xiaomi phones, my father adores the max series, because he enjoys watching movies on them. My brother bought one of the cheaper redmi phones and also says it is a nice phone. I have recommended the brand to friends and all of them are happy with those phones. I have been so pleased with xiaomi for maybe 5 years now and I have no intention to switch to another brand. Beforehand I was so displeased with Samsung and Lenovo. Especially Samsung lacks regular updates, whereas mi phones are updated weakly. Two years ago I decided that I would give a try to a Honor phone and I bought the Honor 10 one. Well the quality was awful and I was thinking that my mi 5 performed better so I just went back in the shop 3 days afterwards and I make a fuss that I want to switch it for the mi 8 and just pay extra. The xiaomi phones are the best value phones that I have encountered and I hope that they don't keep increasing their price. Please don't discourage anyone from buying a xiaomi, because I believe that they would be quite happy with it. This being said, there are a lot of scammers and especially in the US and Europe it is quite hard to actually buy such phone from a secure provider. I don't know whether you were disappointed with xiaomi personally, but if you were, I would firstly blame it on the fact that they have sold you a fake.
bought yesterday..and all i can tell is this phone is a true flagship killer...with lower price premium quality superfast supercamera...no one can beat poco for this price....good job poco
[deleted post]I actually had more touch issues from my Samsung devices that I owned than Xiaomi ones. They're not bad though, just an occasional unregistered tap/swipe. For my Poco F2 Pro and previous Xiaomi devices (I've had more than 6 Xiaomi's in the past), only one had touch issue and like with my two Samsungs, it's very mild. You get a defective unit/lemon regardless of brand, especially if you buy from untrustworthy sources. My advice? Always buy from a trustworthy seller with excellent return/refund policy.

Faisal92, 07 Jul 2020Does the poco pro 2 support " LED Notification"?Similar to Mi 9T Pro, the notification light is at the pop up camera. Cannot view at the front of the phone, but viewable on top surface of the phone.

For majority of Android users who don't do any banking or credit card transactions on their Android phones, it wouldn't likely matter much because they won't lose anything even if hackers get hold of their personal files/photos/media on their phones. But for those who do regularly use their phones to transfer funds, pay bills and shop online with their credit cards and debit cards, an up-to-date security patch is basic requirement (in addition to safe online behavior).
LeemHan, 06 Jul 2020Hey guys I need you opinion I want to buy a phone tht Worth . I'm still decide for OnePlu... moreHere is the thing nobody can make decision for you, only after you use both smartphones, you will know which one is better for you, as smartphone is not just about the brand, outlook, or the hardware, it is a long term experience from day to day usage, but definitely this is not possible, unless you buy both smartphone, and using it simultaneously.
I will say both are good options in their own way, won't disappoint you.

Anonymous, 05 Jul 2020My Poco F2 Pro is still on April 2020 security patch as well. And it's the same with my S... moreUnless a group of hackers specifically target you using the security hole or vulnerability (if it exists) which is not fixed through a security patch, you have nothing to worry about. The likelihood of such a thing happening is 0.00001%.
So lack of security patches don't affect the end user in the real world.
Ppl and several businesses used Intel chipsets for years without issues despite the Spectre & Meltdown vulnerabilities. As I said, unless a team of hackers specifically target you exploiting that security loophole, you are safe.
Ppl continue to fall for marketing gimmicks where they feel if they don't have the latest security patch, they are vulnerable or worse the phone becomes unusable after 2 years. These are the same people that can be hacked using a simple phising link and they are worried about vulnerabilities in the system that are less likely a threat.
