joe nodden, 25 Jul 2021The Dimensity is literally faster than an SD865. What more do you want? PC-level performance?Dude it is not only about speed! charge issues, network coverage, consistency, battery consumption, heating problem, etc

PC-level performance?@joe nodden I, honestly, don't care really about the performance as I'm not a gamer. The only thing I care about is speed of the phone overall, and pretty much every phone is fast nowadays (expect those low end devices). But even if I was a gamer, I'd still opt for Qualcomm because game developers tend to optimize their games for Qualcomm's SoC, not MediaTek.
Also, Qualcomm's SoC are more energy efficient than MediaTek so you get more more autonomy than with MediaTek.

But the thing is i don't change phone often. I have been using an Honor phone since 2017. I am planning to upgrade to a mid range flagship that will hold me a good time for the future. The POCO seems sturdy enough. Should i go for it?

MKA RASEL, 24 Jul 2021Lack of Telephoto lens, OIS and Indisplay fingerprint sensor are main weak points. That's the Flagship segment. This is at the Midrange Segment Price with the specs of a Flagship Killer.
Checkout the Mi 11, Samsung S20 and the Sony Xperia 5 III for that

wow, these phones with high end socs (albeit mediatek) are being priced at competitively now. still gotta pass on another upgrade again, no sd card nor headphone jack. say all you want about dongles and wireless buds, but feel free to give me ETA on wireless sd cards lol
Also, love the design. Hate that it has MediaTek chipset. Qualcomm's are way better; only buying phone with them.
MKA RASEL, 24 Jul 2021Lack of Telephoto lens, OIS and Indisplay fingerprint sensor are main weak points. Pay flagship price for flagship phone. This phone main features are performance centric.
Rick, 24 Jul 2021Can anyone confirm if this phone will get major android updates ? Like till Android 13 or so ?... moreProbably, but arent you worrying way in advance? By the time Android 13 rolls out we might already have (well India might have...) the Poco F5 GT Pro...way in advance.
Can anyone confirm if this phone will get major android updates ? Like till Android 13 or so ? And ideas?
