Not good display, Network problems.
Within 26days my mobile display got white dots(dead pixels)
Always network problems on both sims.(one side hearing)
Display changed at service centre.
Poco not replaced my mobile though dead pixel comes under manufacturing defects.

RishiGuru, 17 Nov 2020I think for INR 11.4K [$153], the Poco M2 Pro (6/64 GB) is a phenomenal device for casual user... moreTell me if you facing this issue.
When using camera there is heating on the back side, exactly at the processor, board space. Like if use for one minute it's getting heated. I know that while using camera every phone will be heated and it will be a slow increase. But hear it's different, it's heating sudden and if stopped using camera it will be cool within minutes. Also if we start the mobile there will be a sudden heatt at the back. In total can't give load to processor.
Is this is common or Just for me? I know you will explain well 😂

But the new one also have same issue.
Heating on the back side while using camera. Also if we give load to the processor it's heating, like if there is a downloading on the background and we download any apps from playstore it's started to heating. We can't give heavy load to processor. I didn't tried any game yet I think if I play anygame it's gonna...🙄 I don't think it's a SD720g. May be they are cheated me on this offer sale.
Is this is a common issue guys? Anyone can help us?

What I like about the device:

1) For its price, the phone looks very premium with the dual glass sandwich design. Other phones in the same price range offers plastic back. I own the Green color variant of M2 Pro at it looks gorgeous.

2) Unbeatable peak performance with Snapdragon SD720G SoC & 6GB LPDDR4x RAM, at just $150. If you are a casual user it is one of the fastest phone for its price. If you are looking for sustained high performance or gaming performance look for flagships. They have full metal frame, some kind of heat chamber & multi layer graphite & copper sheets all of which costs money and helps in proper heat dissipation from the SoC and RAM enabling sustained high performance.

3) Very power efficient phone, with the frugal SD720G built on newer 8 nm fabrication process providing very high mileage with the battery. Its main competitor, be it Mediatek G90T or G92 is made on older 12 nm process hence consume more battery and heats up considerably.

4) Huge, Full HD, good quality display for viewing multimedia content and web surfing. Ample bright. I love displays with no notches & punch holes however there is one single punch hole in M2 Pro on the top middle. It would have been better if its location was on the corner, but manufacturing cost will increase in that case.

5) Monster 5,020 mAh battery. Charge it and forget it.

6) Bonker charging speeds with the supplied 33 watts fast charger. For such a large battery, 0 to 100% under 1 hrs 12 mins. Insane.

7) Very mature Xiaomi MIUI 12 UI skin over Android 10. The MIUI skin with its functionality & intuitiveness is right up there with Huawei's EMUI. Additionally Poco own system launcher safeguards all its users from ads, a huge plus. MIUI & EMUI to me are the two best Android skins currently originating from China. Oppo's ColorOS, Vivo's FuntouchOS & Meizu's FlymeOS lags a little behind in terms of overall feel and polish but provide all the features of the best two.

8) Quad camera setup at the back and a single selfie shooter in a $150 phone. For its price its punches well above and shoots images with respectable quality & resolution. Much better than similarly prices Realme's.

9) I used M2 Pro headphone jack with 5 over-the-ear headphones & 7 IEMs I own. None of them had any issues and the sound is just fine. No issues here.

10) Wifi & Bluetooth speeds are just fine and observed no abnormality here.

11) Using a JIO sim with 4G VoLTE enabled, call reception & loudness are good.

At the end I want to stress M2 Pro (6/64 GB) is a great all rounder phone at an unthinkable low price of $150. It is meant for the masses and casual users. For heavy users, pro gamers this is not the ideal phone. One need to invest some more and at-least get the Poco X3 with gaming in mind.

Shailu, 09 Nov 2020I also purchased m2 pro but eyerphone is not working idk how it's Not earpiece problem. This phone does not support all wire headphone. I bought new wire Headphone but wasted 450Rs, ibought mi wired headphone Rs.150 it work now. To test earphone just record with earphone using external mic, stop the rec and play the video if you hear noisy sound then earphone not support test until u find the right one before buying. This is solution for all who is complaining about earpiece problem.

Biplob, 25 Sep 20200-100% in 1hr 25 minutes. Got a Poco M2 Pro in Flipkart's 'Big Diwali Sale', 2020. Never used a Xiaomi product before. Bought M2 Pro due to insane price drop during sale. I believe the phone was launched in India as on 7th Jul, 2020 with the 6/64 GB priced at INR 15K [$200]. Got the same variant on 1st Nov, 2020 for just INR 11.4K [$153] using card offers. The M2 Pro at this price offers insane value at unheard price to performance ratio.

I have been using the phone since then, and very happy with the purchase. It is not my primary device though. However I went bonkers at how fast M2 Pro charges battery at insane speeds. After going through some teardown videos on youtube, I found M2 Pro uses the the same 'BN53' battery of Redmi Note 9 Pro. The battery has a rated capacity of 4902 mAh, while the typical capacity is 5020 mAh. Output voltage is 3.87 Vdc.

The supplied wall charger of M2 Pro is rated at a high 33 watts. Using the Indian 240 volts AC line, below are the output rating of the charger:
5V x 3A = 18 watts
9V x 3A = 27 watts
12V x 2.25A = 16.2 watts
20V X 1.35A = 27 watts
11V X 3A = 33 watts

I have never seen a phone charger capable of outputing 5 different types of power ratings depending on need. This is an advanced, proprietary (Xiaomi) and expensive wall charger. To perform the battery charging speed test I drained the battery to 0% and used the supplied 33 watts charger. Below are the results:

Phone powered off while charging: YES [This yields maximum charging speeds]
Battery (Typical Capacity) -> 5,020 mAh

0 to 25% -> 1255 mAh -> 11 mins
0 to 33% -> 1657 mAh -> 15 mins
0 to 50% -> 2510 mAh -> 23 mins
0 to 62% -> 3112 mAh -> 30 mins
0 to 75% -> 3765 mAh -> 38 mins
0 to 83% -> 4167 mAh -> 45 mins
0 to 90% -> 4518 mAh -> 53 mins
0 to 94% -> 4719 mAh -> 60 mins -> 1 hr
0 to 95% -> 4769 mAh -> 62 mins -> 1 hr 2 mins
0 to 99% -> 4970 mAh -> 70 mins -> 2 hr 10 mins
0 to 100% -> 5020 mAh -> 72 mins -> 1 hrs 12 mins

Even though I was very impressed with the charging speeds, doing some calculations reveled the wall charger is charging the battery at incredibly fast charging rates which in long term will be detrimental to battery health. Heat & high charging rates can destroy any lithium based battery and it will age very fast. Hence packed the supplied 33 watts charger and started using a simple 18 watts wall charger instead. A lithium based battery should never be charged above 1C charging rate, hence doing the maths:

4920 mAh (Rated battery capacity) = 4.92Ah = 4.92A * 3.87V = 19 watts

Hence for 1C charging speeds we need a 19 watts wall charger for M2 Pro. Mine is 18 watts, this way the phone battery will definitely last quite long, phone will not heat up while charging and won't be super slow either. In the end very happy with the purchase of M2 Pro.
