Update to MIUI 12.5.2 (2,5 GB).
King Himu, 30 Sep 2021Has anyone received Miui 12.5/13 (note: not: 12.0.5) in Poco M3? If yes, how is it doing? It's make it better don't worry body
fdt, 04 Oct 2021After having read the official GsmArena review, followed by these comments, a bunch of questio... moreI use this divice in last 6 months and in everyday use I never have problem with Bluetooth or wifi
Iam Poco m3 user since 6 months this phone. Is trashed no updates no WiFi Bluetooth solutions deadboot and other problems don't buy it .
I installed Miui 12.5 2 and Android 11 and did hard reset just in case. The phone now is good, maybe not faster than with Miui 12, but battery is good, no battery drain. There are some small not nice things like awkwardness of the front menu when you scroll down with the finger from the top of the screen and some other things like not good icons, but generally is good. Probably I'm not gonna perform downgrade.
After having read the official GsmArena review, followed by these comments, a bunch of questions immediately popped into my head. Nowhere in the review is any mention made of poor bluetooth or wi-fi or anything of the sort. So does this mean that
1. The GsmArena reviewers experienced none of these problems and it's just a small number of owners having issues for whatever reason?, or
2. Don't they even care to test these functions? I, for one, still consider stuff such as good reception, reliable wi-fi/bluetooth etc. of primary importance in a phone, more so than cameras/videos/gaming/eye-candy etc. even if that phone is a smartphone (which phone today isn't?)
I'm simply curious, because going by the official review I wouldn't hesitate to buy this device, but going by the comments I would stay away from it as far as possible. So, whom do I trust in making my decision?
I bought Poco M3 about 2 months ago. It has the worst Wi-fi connection I've ever seen and bad signal too.
What a nightmare It can't connect to the 3 meters apart Wi-fi.
Snapdragon 662 is shit compared to Helio G 70 it hangs while using social media apps.
Worst decision! Dont buy!!!!!!! So I own three xiomi sets and poco m3 is a nighmare!!! It goes on black screen every month then I have to wait for the battery to drain and then it starts working..its a normal issue with this model...

I bought a redmi note 3 back in 2016, then I switched to Samsung, best decision I made, now I own a oppo a53, a Samsung galaxy a12, a Samsung galaxy a02s and a Huawei y9 prime. These phones are not top notch gaming but way better than trashmi devices

Humza, 01 Oct 2021I am using poco m3 for about 2 months and here are my reviews.
WiFi connection does... moreI wouldn't bet on it. Miui updates are trash.
Compared to one ui 3.0 which can make a Samsung galaxy phone with 4gb runs smoother. A miui can turn a redmi or poco device with 12gb of ram into a paperweight.
The next time, get a lighter and burn your money instead of buying a redmi device just because it offers a snapdragon 662. A snapdragon 662 is worth catshit if it's plagued with that trash called miui, while a snapdragon 460 can perform smoothly on one ui 3.0 and color os 11.1. See the difference now??
Miui isn't a good os while color os which is known to be heavy is very well calibrated
Poco m3 user, 30 Sep 2021This phone was okay for the first few months but after the update it all went downhill. First,... moreNow you see why Samsung doesn't offer Helio G series or Snapdragon 600 series at this price range. Don't be fooled by xiaomi, they have good specs phones but nothing but paperweight at this point. The Indian variants are worse, and there's a video of a poco device which exploded in a pocket of an Indian fella.
Believe me, I used to own a redmi note 3, one of the worst phone I ever used, it overheats when charging and using otg functions and apparently redmi didn't solve that overheating problem, the difference with this poco and the redmi note 3 I used was that the miui of 5 years ago was much more consistent and the phone in question wasn't prone to frequent update , therefore no problem with fluidity in the old miui which was a much well calibrated os , with the new miui , redmi products really went downhill.
I have used oppo mobile recently and my oppo a53 doesn't even get warm, when it comes to otg and fast charging and I planned to buy the a74 5g instead of a trashmi device
