It's not a good brand. It's a worst brand I have ever seen camera has good quality but within a year there are some fault in motherboard

Probably, if you are in US, you could get mid range pixel or 2nd hand though that isn't the case here.
O well, that's alright, poco's got good overall spec (other than mid range cameras) anyway.

poco x3 only starts flickering belo 40% brightness and even then its at a rate higher than 2400hz.
results: no eyestrain!

Manufacturers don't seem to care about 1/10 people suffering eyestrain from the pwm dimming used by ALL (am)oled screens, which flicker at a rate

it took ... moreReally, you don't need those updates unless something stops working.
Security patches? If you are an average phone user, you will not get hacked; you have to be Jeff Bozos to get your phone hacked.
Most of those hacks are of high level attacks, which means somebody pays the hacker a lot of money to do that kind of attacks.
I haven't been too happy about Android update since 11, and 12 is even worse with those bogus icons.

14.0.4 is bad for battery, from what I've read also problems with the camera?
it took xiaomi a long time to get miui 13 stable.

If you do not want neither party to spy on you, you need to degoogle and back things up with syncthing.
Do not store important data on phone, always back up on computer.

All phones are produced in China today, did ya know?
I don't like what's happening about Chinese monopoly today, but what choice do I really have today when all other competitors are too lazy to fight back?
And the negative things you wrote about this phone, is it really limited to this phone or you just didn't compare well enough with other phones?

of course, if you pay that much as xiaomi 12, you'll get many options, but that defeats the purpose of getting a best value

I've been on a custom rom without bloats over a year, working great
Working great both for software and hardware wise, also think that the build quality is good as long as the original case is on; there's been so far no cracks or scratches.

So got this phone July 2021. Was working great until after a few MIUI software updates or something. The calling and messaging systems on the phone got really bad. Couldn't really recieve or send calls anymore and the the messaging was really slow and buggy. I really wish I didn't get this phone for those aspects as I obviously want to recieve calls lol. So basically what I think is wrong about this phone is the antenna and how it can't do multiple signals at once. If I get a text it will basically pause my data usage and my apps/music will stop. This won't happen if you're on wifi, but it sucks really bad when you're outside.
Aside from the connectivity issues. The display is awesome and the processor is perfectly good even in 2023. I'm going to get a new phone and saw that these comments are public so decided to put my two cents in. Get a decent phone and not a chinese brand to be honest. I know all the phones are made in china and they're good, but not their branded ones and not poco especially. Bad experience even if it is considered the "flagship killer". They cheap out a lot.
Overall, display/processor good. Buggy phone, bad calls, bad connections. Good battery life.
