I heard this phone has problem with battery it does not last even for single day because because 2G and 3G call reception is not good and it keeps searching for the networks all the time.
so please let me know is it fixed or not or Xiaomi working on this issue with further software updates?
How about the kit kat 4.4.2 version in this phone? Is it upgradable?
Xiaomi didnt mentioned the sar values of their devices. By considering the public health every mobile company should provide sar value in their website. Even cheap indian mobile brands strictly mentioning their devices sar value. Xiaomi and flipkart behaviour looking very suspecious. Flipkart removed the comments section for xiaomi devices. If people posts negative comments about xiaomi devices then their sales decreases thats why they removed the comments section.
when would be available in India? waiting waiting to get my hands on to this as per price looking very impressive may be this my next android device....
also share your experience who is already owning this beautiful xiaomi
I bought this model for my girlfriend a little over a month ago, while on a trip to Hong Kong. Only paid $1,280 HKD. (about $165 USD) I was initially impressed with the build quality, the screen size & resolution, and especially the camera. For only 8mp it's pretty darn good. It performs very well in low light... and since the GF is a shutterbug, that pretty much sealed the deal. Only problem is, almost every software function for this phone is tied to Xiaomi's servers, cloud storage, etc. Other than the very basic OS, almost nothing is original Google software. The work-around is to download the Google Apps installer pack. (Just search for Google Play in the Xiaomi app store and it's the first result that comes up). Then I manually disabled & removed as many of the MI apps as I could, without crippling the phone. -They keyboard app for example must be used. Then I installed all my usual/preferred apps from Google Play. and Viola! A very good Android Phone! So far, no issues. Battery life is great. Everything works fine. You can buy cases for them on Amazon & eBay. I found a case with a screen cover, then installed Smart Cover Lite so the screen would lock when the cover was closed. Honestly, for the money, it's hard to find a better phone!
