I bought this phone after I got tired of my Lumia 730 (which is a phone that I also miss a lot these days) and I was very happy with this Redmi. I was pretty snappy for the price, comfortable, decent cameras and screen and I liked using the MIUI at that time because it was something new for me.
Also, this was the first Xiaomi Phone to be officially released and sold by Xiaomi here in Brazil. Too many fond memories

this was my 2nd phone and 1st Xiaomi's phone, until i upgraded to Redmi 4A 2/16, then to Redmi Note 7 4/64. From Note 7 to Redmi 10 6/128, downgraded for a little while. Now Poco M4 Pro 6/128. Btw Note 7 gaved to my dad, literally just bought Xiaomi Mi 5 3/32 for 2nd daily use phone. Proud to have a lot of experiences using Xiaomi's phones.

Xiaomi Redmi 2 is still my bed mobile after many years. I mainly watch Youtube, can't do much with it now. it is light and comfortable to hold with 1 hand, 2 or 3 fingers for long periods unlike my newer Xiaomi mobiles which feel too heavy. I will greatly miss the Redmi 2 when it eventually dies.

I used the phone like around 2017-2018 with the 1/8 and no complaints until the screen touch died so i switched to redmi 5 plus
I remember it having a bad but usable camera
The 8 gb didnt really bother me as i had sd card
Then i flashed an android 10 rom few years later in 2020 and used it for a couple of days with external mouse and keyboard where the phone was struggling but it still worked. Well the battery is not that bad and the replacable battery is cool. The phone has 4g so it should still be usable in 2022 just not well. I also liked the size aswell it is very compact and easy for one handed use

Parker, 22 Mar 2021You can't, believe me I tried. Allot. Ended up installing a new ROM altogetherWhat u need is a tool called "miracle" to unlock the phone and disable find my device.
