the phone is good user friendly camera quality ok ok
touch response is also good the only problem is OVER HEATING
for no reason this phone gets automatically heated up even when I don't use especially the part around the camera and the battery too gets drained fast for this reason I don't recommend anyone to buy this phone I have Samsung galaxy mega also 2 years old still going smoothly... brand phones are worth to trust.. I accepted it.. with redmi I had a bad experience this is the first and last time I'm never going to buy mobiles like redmi,micromax,karbon these companies have to go a long way we can't trust their products for myself I'm not going to trust these chaloo companies.... final verdict: just stick to the branded company mobiles guys

And what about lollipop update??? No Gorilla glass, but AGC "Dragon trail glass" protection given for Redmi2 prime.
Which is sratched resistance as well as shutter proof.

I bought this phone around 3 months back. The phone checks off almost everything that I need. It has a very good responsiveness, battery, screen quality, size ( very handy!), the right mixture of sensors, a 2GB RAM, dual sim with both 4g, and also a provision for sd card. And Xiaomi has become a very trustable brand, as well as the service they are rendering has improved significantly.
The bad- the screen acts very weird especially when it is being charged. The swipe gesture is considered as a touch gesture and the underlying link opens up. It's a consistent problem and many have reported the issue.
Second- the camera. It's ok. But you will be disappointed more often than not.

I buy a redmi 2 primd .My phone was over heating and less batrry back.it could low in 5 hour 100to 10%

I'm not sure why others have problems. Maybe Xiaomi's quality is sometimes good, sometimes bad, not consistent?? Who knows, for me its working ok, and I took from Flipkart.

gp, 01 Dec 2015could this phone support OTG pandrives??Yes, it supports OTG pendrives, I've used them with Nokia's original cable for N8. I've attached pen drives upto 32GB, sometimes memory card readers too.
Works great & fast.

Are you in China? Because that's where Google and Facebook are banned and you can't do anything about it... (Chrome and Playstore are Google services)
