The difference between Xiaomi and Samsung entry level devices is that Xiaomi maintains similar spec & performance / price ratio with its flagships so every device purchase is a real deal, while Samsung only cares about its flagships, its entry level devices are all joke despite the numerous variants. They're getting better with the midrangers, but the price point is on Xiaomi's flagships.
Mavper, 07 Jun 2017Hey where can I buy this phone in UK? 32 or 64 pink.Hello, you can buy it from aliexpress

They are shit at Mi price points (even double the price ones too!). No Samsung phone lasts 4 days battery life. Very poor interface as most phones use stock android. Continuous problems of hanging and heating. I am not sure if the review is really genuine.
Totally Outstanding for the price. its really glamour display. Impressive battery life feels Good. Phone speakers sounds medium quality not bad it okay for the price totally okay and for headphone superb quality. No Flickering issue at all able to update in MI UI 8 Latest's version. Willing to get naught update soon
This is a great budget phone to have. It will do your simple tasks done even some gaming activities. I was kinda in doubt about using this phone as my daily driver and switching from Mi Max. I was wrong, this phone is fantastic. Since it has a decent 5inch screen size, this phone is really easy to operate and it fits in our pocket nicely.
Sammy fans on a roll hahaha... Gonna get the phone in a few days. My cousin has a redmi 4a which is a pretty good phone too.. Having used Sammy phones in the past I can say that their stock rom is pretty ugly and Samsung doesn't give more than 1 update to their mid range and low range phones as they produce a galaxy of phones in a year (pun intended)
We guys are better off with Xiaomi... Unless you are into root and custom roms which is a discussion for another day....
In my country j7 15 is only $10 more expensive than redmi 4x, that's why I compared them.
The screen flickering problem only happened for very few phones from the early batch of production so not sure that it will happen to my phone as well, because mine is a new batch and it comes with marshmallow right out of the box and if it happens then I have warranty and Samsung service will fix it or refund my money (in our country Samsung takes business very seriously). Also I usually change device after 6 to 10 months so I am not that worried about it.
Anyway it looks like you guys are happy with your Chinese devices that's all that matter.

before you even care to make a comparison, please make sure the price group almost the same, otherwise it is just irrelevant

First of all let me tell you, redmi 4x is a great device at its price point if you havenÂ’t used Samsung super amoled display phone yet.
I had decided to buy redmi 4x after seeing so many positive reviews about this device. After seeing the device at its full brightness it didnt feel like its even half as bright as SamsungÂ’s entry level super amoled devices. Built quality is poor, if you feel like it has premium built quality than you probably havenÂ’t seen premium devices yet. Then I asked the Xiaomi salesman that how long the battery would last with moderate use? (little bit of social media, half an hour of calling and wifi always turned on) and he said it may not last more than two days. Btw one of my family member is using j7 16 (3300 mah) with the mentioned moderate use and it is lasting around 3 to 4 days before reaching 15 percent. After his answer it came clear to me that 4100 mah battery is nothing but a gimmick or the processor killing the redmi 4x battery. So I decided to buy j7 as my secondary device and I am very happy with my decision. It will probably last around 3 days with my use or even more and the display? I cant even turn on the full brightness because it feels like it is going to burn my eyes. Yes its that bright.
Redmi 4x screams out that I am made in china from every aspect.
For some people the brand Samsung or iPhone itself is a feature.
*** donÂ’t believe me, just go to a nearby Samsung store and bring your beloved redmi 4x with you and compare it with a super amoled display, the rest will be self-explanatory. ***
kingxperia, 15 Jun 2017how is the display quality of this phone? am aware it's 720p which is ok, but how is the qual... moreI see no noticeable difference between the Redmi 4X display and similar IPS LCD displays with similar pixel density (Sony Z5 compact, for example - a phone I owned/used about 18 months ago). I bought my Redmi 4X via the AliExpress app (Google Play). The price-tags range between 100-125 USD. Get the version with Global ROM.
