I've had this stupidly-reliable phone for the past 4 years, it's literally the worst-best phone you could ever had... But one thing I gotta tell you, this durability is really crazy... I've had this phone dropped multiple times, for the past 4 years, some were even 8 ft high drop, it survived. Idk how. But it did, only cracked screen protector and a bunch-a scratches on my back phone..

I don't know why but I trully love using this phone as my a daily device. I bought it back in 2022, before Covid, and I am still using it. I don't understand why there are not many budget, compact smartphones with those two big black areas on the front side instead of top dot notch and a thick black area on the bottom. In 2024, this phone can last 2 days with 4G on, no gaming. Since it's a budget phone, MIUI is not the best option. It installed LOS 18 on it since Android 11 is "currently" the most light-weight and optimal OS for 2 GB ram. Love this one. I have a mid-range Realme phone but my feeling is not as strong as I have with compact phones in general. Not to mention that Redmi 7A has a really good display, camera. I don't know how long it can last, but I will keep using it until there are similar altenatives.

Redmi 7a is a great phone.. Using it from 3 years.. Now facing 2 problems.. 1. Its 32 gb memory which is not enough for daily use apps.. 2. Its 2 gb Rom due to which mobile getting too slow.. In comments one user asked that its storage can be extended up to 128 gb. Is it possible? If yes than this phone can be used for 3 more years

Bought this phone for 100 bucks in 2020, still works fine in 2024. It can do anything any Android can. Ironically, I can buy latest "flagman" on-release but don't see enough reason to upgrade yet. I don't play mobile games and don't take photos all the time, so I don't care about these stats. Battery is enough for a day, charge every night. Has 3.5mm headphones jack. And with Android apps this lil' guy can do anything I want it to do. Visually, in matte plastic black color, looks minimalistic and nice, no stupid "design" choices. Nice smartphone.

Still using. Disabled animations and works like a charm. Great radio with builtin antenna, you have not to use earphone, just loudspeaker!

I have flashed LineageOS 20 (Android 13) on this device Redmi 7A. All I can say, it works flawlessly thanks to LineageOS developers.

not really bad...
I use this phone. it's not really fast but I had a worse phone. not much chance of breaking down on its own.
it is cheap,old and moderated quality.

Be careful, this smartphone is compromised. I'm talking about the built-in firmware Global, EA/RU. Your smartphone secretly takes photos of you and steals your data. Tested on several devices of this model. MIUI 10 stock.
