For me redmi 8 is a good phone for daily use, battery capacity, lite gaming like C.O.D, ML. with minimal frame drops. camera is ok for me. im using redmi 8 playing COD with VPN No heat issues.

Most of the comments here are disgraceful you bought a phone knowing what your expecting
Such kind of a phone is praised in Kenya for its specs at that price which very good for basic use and lite gaming
and am not a camera guy so whatever

Just bought a month ago, Redmi 8 is ok for daily activities, especially since I rarely play games.
Only light games I have.
- Motorsport Manager 3, Bloons TD6, & Plants vs Zombies 2
even though it was a little hot, but I played the game for only 1 hour
game like Free Fire, Mobile Legend, COD, PUBG are not recommended.
Redmi 8 is indeed suitable for browsing, watching YouTube, movies & multitasking.
And most importantly, even though the processor uses SD 439 and a bad camera sector (can be better by installing Gcam or Hypercam).
The most vital for all sectors is the battery:
Redmi 8 battery is AMAZING because SD 439 are power saving chipset (not gaming chipset).
Additionally, at this time I have never updated my MIUI and other Google Application Support systems to save memory space.

facing an issue would appreciate if someone could guide...when i turn on my redmi 8's hotspot and connect my other devices (laptop or cell phone) the connection goes well but within 5 minutes the connected devices start saying "connected, no internet"...in redmi 8 the internet is working but other devises despite being connected do not get internet...
i have tried changing all settings like setting off data limits, turning off hotspot automatically etc but same results...also i have tried this on both sim 1 and sim 2 but same results...
interesting thing is when the other devices start showing "connected, no internet" i pick up my redmi 8 and start browsing the other devices start working too...and when i stop again the connected devices stop too within 5 minutes...
would appreciate if someone could assist...

Ana, 10 Jul 2020Help me, please, which is better: Redmi 8 or Huawei Y7(2019)?Ok.Huawei Y7 2019 announced 2019 march.Older.But it does not means this phone weak.It works on Qualcomm Snapdragon 450.Coupled with Adreno 506.Battery is also good 4000mAh.Stylish design.EMUI 8.2 is stable and cool UI.Camera is normal.Selfie cool.
Redmi 8 announced 2019 October.Runs on Snapdragon 439.But it works with Adreno 505.It's more powerful chipset.Espacillaly on battery life.Has 5000mAh.It recently got a new update Android 10.According to the camera there is no night mode or EIS.But supports Google camera.Personally both of them good.I recommend Redmi 8.But its your choice.Huawei Y7 2019 is also good product.
