because of old chipset they are using it in redmi 8
its actually from redmi 7a
they must replace the tag pricing of 4/64 with 4/128
if they release 4/128 version with the price that declared for 4/64 i'll buy it

It had a wireless Radio and it was one of the key features of that beside 5MP camera.

jubair, 12 Oct 2019Does Xiaomi Redmi 8 have IR blaster?No i dont think so. Which is weird bcoz redmi 7 had IR. Maybe had to cut corners because of usb type c and 5k mah battery. Im guessing usb c is still way more expensive than micro usb which they should imo phase out already

after reading the specsheet. .i would say SD439 was a bit lower on performance but a bit better on eficiency compared to SD632,, day to day use we will notice better battery life instead of a bit lower performance since both seems similar (SD632 8x1.8GHz, SD439 8x1.4/1.95GHz BigLittle). . .505 vs 506 would be on par

Only little bit battery save in Redmi 8 12nm. 12nm n 14nm not much different both consume less battery not much differences. Fast Charging also important but Xiaomi didn't provide u Fast Charger in the box this will irritate u when u charge phone for 3hrs

Especially when for just a few more buck, you can get Redmi Note 7S with SD 660. Redmi totally screwing their lineup with so much devices with clashing price points.

people talk about long term and change their phone after one year..... I think this phone is well enough to support up to one and half year with stable performance. I am using it and it really satisfying me with it's overall performance.

Chitty, 10 Oct 2019This is a downgrade from the Snapdragon 630 of the Redmi 7. Right?More Efficient CPU - power saving! (Redmi series are not recommended for heavy gamers) so if SD632 can run for example PUBG in medium to high settings without any problems that doesnt mean they build the series on this. So Redmi 8 dont even need start the PUBG game.
Instead of that phone brings a better battery life and smoother video playback and many others.
