Out of the box with MIUI 10 the fast charging did not work at all for me. After updating to MIUI 11 and hard reset of phone, the fast charging now works perfectly. Using an Anker 18w nano charger with lightning cable it only takes 2 hours flat to go from 5% to 100%. With MIUI 10 it took 2 hours 50 minutes.

Does your display have a yellowish tint when you go to Settings, Display, Color scheme, and choose Original instead of Auto?
Overall for this price phone is very good.

I just bought this on 12:12 Flashsale, and figured out Redmi 8A that sold officially in Indonesia has different back camera sensor. Instead use IMX363 as wrote on specs, they use omnivision_13b10i after check it on Settings > About > All Specs > Triple Tap on Kernel version > Version Information (Hardware Info).
I'm so disappointed, I wish it would replace my Xperia XZ as my daily driver, well seems like I must bring these Redmi and Sony Xperia together.
So far, I'm impressed with Redmi 8A long-last battery. Combined with QuickCharge 3.0 is perfect for a full-day working.

SL_sami, 28 Nov 2019Pubg is too leg to this .I don't no what's the reason. Anyone know the reason please tell me. These phones are not intended for gaming. Consider buying Redmi Note 7 or better models for at least fair experience.

Do NOT buy this phone.
I bought a Redmi 8A, used it for two weeks. and sold it, and bought a Redmi 8.
And from what I understand,
8A wasn't that bad. But,
-8A is a little bit thicker & heavier than Redmi 8.. Redmi 8 feels great in hands.
-Redmi 8's camera is way better than 8A's.
I'm totally content with the Redmi 8.
If you are looking forward to buy a Redmi 8A. Spend a bit more and buy a Redmi 8, instead.
