Could anyone tell me if this phone (4GB/64GB variant) has major issues or minor ones like lagging , overheating, battery drain or application crash because I want to buy this phone.

The 3.4 has a nice frame, but the redmi 9 is better in everything else. I had issues with the 3.4 data connection timing out, had to reset it the whole time by switching flight mode on and off. no issues with the redmi so far.

Dian P, 04 Mar 2021Its because using mediatek for the CPU , when you using snapdargon it more faster Not, it's a because of APN settings (like in any other Xiaomi phone), but, thats a like 20 sec of work to set it up

This phone replaced my Nokia 3.4 which I returned after a week of use. This phone is the same price as the 3.4 and came with a fitness band in Aus. Unfortunately the Aus spec Redmi 9 does not offer NFC and subsequently no cardless payments for me :( Otherwise the phone works great and the battery easily goes 3 days, but im not a heavy user, no facebook on my phone.

After having issues with a previous xiaomi device I was unsure about this one but gave it another go and bought the 4/64 purple one of eBay for £99 for my wife to replace her 3 year old device. She has been using it a few weeks and no issues so far. Big screen big battery reasonable charge speed. Value for money so far.
