bought 4/64 phone for 110 usd beacuse of sale and its very gooooooooodddd camera so good battery 7 to 9 hrs scrren time performance bery nice but missing ultra power saving mode my unit does not have ads so no complaining here just waiting for miui 12 rumored to come before oct 15

On chart specifications are good for the price but what about the actual usage,
>it is good for daily usage
>does the device lag
>is there heat up issue
>Long term review problems either apps crash or slow down after some time
>battery life good or not
> Is basic gaming performance good, i know for best gaming pay extra
> Is 3-32 good to go as its cost is around 130$ in my country and 4-64 cost around 165$. I am not going to spend 35$ for 64 varient

Nic, 02 Oct 2020Guys it is a good device and how many ads appear on screen as i have never used a xiaomi phon... moreits one of the best devices for the price. Yes there are ads but there are ways to disable them. you can find tutorials on YouTube

its good for gaming but i dont play pubg, i play other high setting 3d games. Isnt you all facing lag problem??

Yo, 01 Oct 2020Obviously you don't own a Redmi 9So how am I supposed to prove that I own the phone? I am just speaking from my experience that this phone runs lag free. If your redmi 9 is lagging then either it defective or you probably messed up the phone settings some way..

This is THE phone for me! Type-C, FHD+, Ultrawide, and a LOT! I don't mind the 32GB. I've been living with 8GB (With 4GB full with system).

Bluerain, 26 Sep 2020I already tried Realme C3 lowlight shots. Deleted all shots afterwards because the images are ... morexiaomi did the same by launching 9c and 9a. Many indian users are complaining about the touch issues and but I guess the problem is not in the global version. The problem was with swipe up gestures which caused the touch to not work from the edges at the lower half of the screen and it was fixed with the software update but anyway both phones are good in the budget segment. At least both of them last longer than my primary device s9.

Anonymous, 27 Sep 2020I already posted about the issue I was having with the low brightness of this phone.
Honestly... morelol no. Gsmarena review says it has 328nits brightness, which is already too high for indoors. So the answer to his question is: Yes, its brightness is enough for indoors.
In fact, it's one of the best phones if you do night time reading because its lowest brightness is lower than other phones.
Secondly, Gsmarena review says Redmi 9 reaches 428nits brightness if you turn on "Auto Brightness". Which is VERY high - more than what you need for outdoors.
Generally, brightness around 380nits is enough for outdoors (my current phone has 380nits). You can easily type messages, make calls, book uber and so on.
Though if you want to play PUBG while sitting under the Sun, then you'll need a phone with 450-550nits brightness.
This phone's brightness will only be too low for you if:
1. You don't want to turn on Auto Brightness while going out, which I can understand.
2. You've to use your phone under sunlight for everything, like Games & Movies. Because they require you to catch minor details to enjoy them, which can only be seen in sunlight if your phone has 450-550nits brightness.
Though you can't find that in this price. Best you're gonna get is around 400nits.
