After 1 year of use I would say it's a value for money purchase.
For the price (5,500/-),
Solid Build quality.
Good battery life.
Too much bloat wares are not there.
Descent system performance except occasional hiccups.
Adequate rear camera performance ( for the price cannot expect any HDR performance or low light image quality)
Timely security updates.
Good display quality.
Sometimes brightness might be an issue in broad daylight.

Phone works without any problems. Good battery life. Camera is suprisingly good. Beter than some 50Mpx xiaomi cameras. Slow, very slow charging. Not good for gaming( not a suprise)

This phone doesn't last very long. I'm considering buying a Samsung Galaxy A35 or A36, when it releases. I have been using my Xiaomi Redmi A2 for a bit more than a year and it was fine at the start but now there are many issues including lag and the phone pressing stuff by itself.

Honestly IMO i don't recommend ANY PHONE that using a PowerVR ge8320 or anything simmiliar like ge8100 because the GPU is bad i have used 2 phone using that GPU and the performance always the worst what i used is: Oppo a54, redmi 6, redmi 6a
Also Oppo isn't recommended if you search for budget phone and mostly it used that gpu

The pros are the price and that it is not heavy/bulky. However, it has several problems. Mine started failing after half a year. The Gallery app simply stopped updating and for half the apps, when you want to type something the keyboard lags behind or it appears and disappears. I find this phone model incredibly glitchy.

3 months of using this phone. Everything was going so swimmingly up until the 7 month.
Camera- sucks
Performance - sucks ( Youtube video lags, sometimes crashes. Same applies to Instagram app and Facebook). Can't even use cap cut. Capcut crashes. Chrome barely works.
Sometimes the phone lags during an incoming call. So u end up missing some calls.

There's no wifi 5 (802.11ac) support unfortunately, a bit of a drawback for me

OS is choppy when you opened some apps. Not good for gaming slow load. Casual gaming is fine. You can get a transsion phone with this price range.

used this phone for 1 year.
yes there is some noticeable lag but manages to get the job done.
cam is still okayish, manages to take excellent pictures in the night if focus is properly adjusted to a source of light.
battery is still pretty good
casual gaming is fine too.
xiaomi kinda lagging on updates
microusb port and charging speed is disappointing but kinda got used to it.
overall a decent phone for the price
