Probably because they just keep releasing new phones instead of easing up on producing new models and focusing on reliability of their current models.

Get a Nokia 2.2 instead, or the 1 Plus, at least you get 2 years of updates and great durability.

Adul Al Salami Kebab, 18 May 2019They should have made a 16GB ROM + 2GB RAM variant of this... Android GO is limited to 1GB, but internal storage.. There is Redmi Go with 16/1GB combo, and price is only 10 euros more, than 8/1GB.

I am using this phone since it's launch and till date I have had no problem.
- battery goes on for 2 days for me ( after using it for calls, messages and internet)
- no lag or anything for day to day working
- YouTube go works equally fine and smooth
- had to download call recorder
- compact and light
- works very well as a Hotspot and only 1 sim card supports 4G.
But using any graphics intensive app will result in lag and slow down. Hence don't expect to play games on it.
Else it's a great phone with nice light OS.
Those complaining about it probably have not understood this budget phone.

Trust me they build very good phones that are durable and are beasts when it comes to performance. This phone is a basic phone and at that price, you can't really expect much from it. Try other higher Xiaomi phones and thank me later.

But this phone is not for gaming, this phone have (only) 1gb of ram, did you see sprc before purchase? Also, its a 60$ phone, so yea, for better phone you need to pay more. Redmi 7 is better phone with more ram, better processor, better battery, but cost 50 euros more. If you're ok with size of reemi 7, sell Redmi go and buy good budget phone, Resmi 7
