Hi, I am using this phone for about a year and recently got an update to miui12 (China rom).. here are my takes on the recent update:
Cons
1-there's frequent glitches (miui restarted unexpectedly)
2-some apps like Microsoft office,shopee interfaces are such an eyesore in dark mode. Have to turn to normal mode when using the apps
Pros
1-control centre is easy to use as the icons are much larger compared to old version (looks like iOS)
2-animation is amazing but can be improved
3-battery consumption is normal,not like what other's have experienced
4-auto-brightness has improved compared to my previous experience

I lost 16% tonight with my ultra battery saver on. All apps are not working in the background, brightness was on minimum, WiFi was off. Thats not normal. Before update I lost 3-4% as you.
It said that the battery was drained by using GSM. Do you know anything about that?

After big update (miui 12), my phone faces battery drain. While I'm sleeping my phone loses about 15-20% of battery (wifi is off and I put ultra safe battery).

I got android 10 miui 12 yesterday June. 30 in Canada. I have the China rom version. It's actually really good I just got rid of the control center and went back to the old pull down menu. Otherwise the phone runs smoothly.
