I use phone for fb, insta and p... moreIf you don't use your phone for heavy games like PUBG or Fortnight, then phone is for you. The main difference is on the camera that does not handle video 60 frames 4K quality and the processor is SD730 which is better than the one in Samsung S8, but lack behind flagship of this year and 2018.

Plus, for the screen I was expecting it to be Corning gorilla Glass 6, but it's the 5th version not like the Mi 9 which currently have a better price with retailers in AliExpress.com.

I use phone for fb, insta and p... moreIf not heavy games are like Subway Surfers or Azur Lane, then it does a good job for the fresh new SD 730, but I'd advice you to spend a bit more and buy the SD 855 one (K20 Pro) since you could last at least 5 more years for a chipset this good.

The gradient finish just looks cheap and cheesy. Kind of give the cheap look. Compare it to the Matt finish on the Oneplus 7 Pro which without gradient looks classy and elegant.
I wish more companies went back to aluminium unibody designs (which companies have given up on more or less). I had Redmi Note 3 with an alumunium back and it fell about 5-6 times without damage.
Companies could be more innovative in design by having brushed metal, leather or twin metal finishes (gold silver, grey silver etc like we see on some laptops). Ornhave interesting textures etc. I wouldn't buy these phones with gradient backs.

Just because you don't like that it doesn't have two small features that you wanted it to have doesn't mean the hype was for nothing. It's a $350 phone with a Snapdragon 855, a 48 MP camera, amoled completely bezel less display, and a lot of ram. Quit being ungrateful. It's an amazing phone.

The redmi lineup has always come with SD card slot, IR blaster and a headphone jack. And that's the reason why I've gone for the redmi rather than mi series but now they've just ruined it. So much hype for nothing...

I used OTG even wit... moreI don't think you get the point of carrying your files everytime with you, you never know when you gonna need it, for example, I might be able to carry movies on my MicroSD to watch when I'm on a beach that my 4G doesn't cover, or in the cottage. I live in Brazil, not everywhere have 4G connection and even when it have, it have AWFUL speeds.
