Redmi note is a high end budget phone but i noticed 3 major defects.
1. While connected to internet by enabling data service it fluctuates often.ie) it automatically connects and disconnects.
2. While you listen to someone speaking on call , the volume goes blank for few seconds and again after some time you will hear them speaking.
3. Final snag is, there is a lag while navigating across pages and contacts.
Jus bought this phone. 5 days old. .. got to live with this ??? ;) who will fix this?? Shanghai team???? Ha aha....

check for more settings for those apps in Security app and enable them all.

I just switched from a Samsung quattro to a Xiaomi Redmi Note a couple of days ago and I am having trouble with my wifi. The Samsung never had issues with it and stayed on constantly but the Xiaomi Note connects for a few minutes and then disconnects again and won't re-connect unless I switch off and switch on the wifi toggle. I made sure I had the latest firmware on the router and updated the Xiaomi Note software as well. Apparently there is some setting on my wifi that was ok for the Samsung but not ok for the Note and I hope someone can help me figure it out. Nothing else is using the wifi and the signal strength is very good.
What happens:
The phone connects successfully to the wifi. After sometime when the phone is on standby mode even though it shows wifi as connected and Signal of Wifi as strong I am not able to browse, receive or connect. This happens when my Xiaomi note is connected to wifi and is on standby mode. I have to switch off and switch on the wifi toggle on my handset to use wifi again.
This problem does not arise when I am connected to wifi and constantly browsing. It happens only when the Xiaomi Note is on standby mode.
Any idea how to rectify this..
