it has gorilla glass 3 confirmed by gogi rana. The kitkat and miui6 updates are confirmed for 4g version but not for 3g. still 3g version is better device because of dual sim at cheaper price. 4g technology is not fully available at india and is very costly in kolkata .

if you think of Qualcomm as Intel Inside of mobile world then mediaTek can be think of as AMD processors for mobile world.
my 1yr old lava phone with Mtk6577+sgx531 processor can play 720p videos. but galaxy s2 with qualcomm+adreno200 that cost 2000Rs more than my lava at that time can't even play 480p videos properly

flipkart is showing that they are providing 2 coloured back covers along with this phone.
