Just needed to ask y'all a quick question. If I buy the Redmi note 10 is it best in android 12 miui 13 or android 12 miui 14. And what are good alternatives
After MIUI 14 update, I didn't find any of the updates they talked about like new clock UI and change apps icons and gallery extract text from photos,... It is still a MIUI 13 but named as MIUI 14 in the title only.

Furkan, 02 Mar 2023Snapdragon 678 chip is bad bro This processor is decent and performs quite well. It handles multitasking with ease and can game. The sluggishness of the phone is more like a software issue since the new MIUI 14 isn't stable as of the moment. Quick solution to this issue is to factory erase the phone to remove any possible bugs and to start fresh. It just like a Windows OS for computers, when it has gone slow, you just can't blame the system processor's performance as you know that it's not acting that way before.
I'm sorry for Xiaomi with the updates it does, Redmi Note 10 came with Android 11 and was only updated to 12 and it won't update to Android 13 anymore and only Mi 14 gets Android 12. This is too bad. Samsung's low-end phones have 2 versions of Android updates. It does!!! But Xiaomi is delaying even in providing Android to flagships

I feel my phone is becoming more laggy and bad performance after MIUI 14 update. If you didn't get this update yet, at this stage I don't advise you to update. Sticking to MIUI 13 at this time is much better.

BTW. I've been using Xiaomi phones since their first Note & oh no! I've been hacked or spied on WRONG!!!! Not a single cent on my bank accounts got stolen or hacked.
It's even worse on Google who is including Malware/Spyware on their ADS lately.
Also I haven't seen a single ad on my Xiaomi Note 11 Pro+5G Miui FileManager, Calculator, Gallery, etc. since I disabled them when there was a prompt during setup or go to Settings, Privacy, etc.
While not as bad as a £30 smartphone, the Redmi Note 10 (as with other MiUI instances) is crammed full of adware. Even the File Manager displays adverts, in the middle of the file list making it hard to actually see what files you have. Sometimes when you open a file you get a full screen timed advert first. Evil.
Most of the apps steal ALL your information, which you can opt of sending to Xiaomi, but which then gives you multiple prompts asking you to agree to sending the data you specifically chose not to every time you open each app. This makes using the Xiaomi apps really, really annoying.
The camera is quite good but insanely slow.
The MiUI is pretty unstable too and frequently crashes.
I got the phone for £110 after another died, but I sure as hell wouldn't pay full price for it. It's got decent hardware but seems to underperform significantly. It's the MiUI that seals it's fate. Bad
It will not get Android 13 - it is official - just Miui 14 based on Android 12.
I have always had doubts about the performance of this phone, it is trash.....
There's a saying called "Don't fix it if it ain't broke" which can be applied to software updates. I'm still using MIUI 12.5.5 and never encountered issues with it ever. I'd definitely stay on this version rather than choosing a headache. Checked from a website regarding the new MIUI 14 update for RN10 and there are some anomalies which I already expected. TIP: You can update to the new software version once it's in the final stages so you can avoid messing up your phone... For those who already updated,
hope you enjoy your newly updated MIUI 14 - with some bugs!

Today my phone got MIUI 14, however, it was only around 280 MB size. I thought it would be something around 2 to 2.5 gb 😂😂 and I really think it's just a trial not the real MIUI 14, and my phone is still on android 12 not 13, won't this phone get android 13? Will it get MIUI 14 and stick to android 12? Why this MIUI update is soo small in size? For the changes until now, I can only tell there are minor minimal changes in notifications and control center that can be discarded. Otherwise, all is the same.
