Anilkrch, 14 Aug 2015Every thing is ok except battery performance. Only 144 hr 3g standby time, its joke. I was wai... moreI think it is too early to start yapping about the battery life,at least wait for a real life review before going ballistic on its battery life..
It does support memory card. gone through all the minute details.
really awesome phone. eagerly waiting to have one.
gonna be a beast in 8k - 12k range mobiles.
Redmi note2 will come india for sure ...Earlier redmi note was sold with 3g/4g while 3g is mediatek chipset even after ban ....lets hope xiaomi will come up with different plan on Aug 17
yes its one of the flagship type device it also have removable battrey and micro sd card support upto 32 gb higer version price is about INR 12000 it may launch in india at miui 7 launch means 19 august phone running on miui7 and adroid lollipop
Does it have any kind of screen protector like Gorilla glass or Dragontail?
Will it be launched in India, considering it has MTK processor?
Bad news for Indian xiaomi fans until there is a version of note 2 with snapdragon chipset this device is not going to be launched in India, remember Ericsson patient issue due to which Xiaomi is unable to sell phones with chipset other than snapdragon in India.

Every thing is ok except battery performance. Only 144 hr 3g standby time, its joke. I was waiting this phone since long time but disappointed only on battery issue. Battery is most important in phone these days, xioami should look into this and also advice that please don't rush behind only price war.
I read in net that since xiaomi devices with Mediatek processors are banned in India and only Xiaomi devices with Snapdragon processors are allowed in India so Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 which has Mediatek may not be released in India. Is it true ?
mkkhatri, 13 Aug 2015Yes it supports sd card upto 32 GB
http://www.mi.com/note2/specs/The website www.mi.com/note2/specs/ clearly states that there are NO MICROSD SLOT!
What a major dissapointment
Can anyone tell me which display galas is used and is it okay with Li-Po battery?
This device do have a micro sd slot, just seen an hands on video by phonezilla on youtube, and the most amazing thing it even has an IR blaster.
Can anyone confirm if it has microSD support or not? and what about any screen protection? The lack of which was a deal breaker for me in case of the K3 Note. Personally I love Xiaomi not only because of their products but that fact that their prices forces the competition to lower their's as well in India :)
