After using it for few months.. this is my experience with this phone
1. Battery life is CRAP
2. CRASH and auto restart quite few times
3. HEAT up while playing games
4. update takes forever
5. NOT stable at all
6. LAG while playing games (PVZ 2 to name one - NOT acceptable)
7. LAG while typing (talk about the amount of frust)
8. LAG sometimes in some apps
9. decent picture quality in normal daylight, when at night.. the quality is like crap.
lots of cons and almost no pros.. in other words, HATES it.

How to remove underline while typing? I already turned off the auto correction and spell checker.
Just bought this phone thru online shopping. At the back of the box you can read what's inside which is redmi note 2, battery, adaptor and usb cable but there is no usb cable inside the box.
I also charged my battery and i have 5hrs screentime from 12hrs of standby. 5hrs surfing.

Anonymous, 08 Jun 2016My mother use RN2, and complaint a lot about battery drain. I experimented with different ROM... moreWhat samsung j2 offer to you? Due to its processor its ok for draining battery so much compare to j2.
Still j2 is the best (maybe for your mother), but for another people who wants to playing game and demand top processor at cheapest price, this phone is the best.
J2 so much laggy for multitasking, 1 gb rom and 8gb room? so much for j2 at the same price like redmi note 2 and offer too high difference spec lol
Anonymous, 11 Jun 2016redmi note is a total jurk my life biggest mistake in buying mobile phones was buying xiaomi m... moreThats because you didnt know how to flashing rom, go to XDA and read tutorial there how to flash, still so much people complain about this phone and didnt know anything about flashing room lol.
After flashing this phone to miui europe room (name is polska before) no problem and battery drain not too much like before flashing.
And due to heliox10 processor, ofcourse this phone is the best at this.price :)
Fullhd screen and 2 gb room, what another phone can offer? Lol
I got this as gift. It was purchased in China, but I live and use it in the U.S. using English. Does anyone have any experience doing that? I was able to get English versions of Yahoo and Facebook and am limping along with a Chinese Firefox installed. I have a few problems: 1) Even in English mode, there are keys still in Chinese. 2) I'm unable to download Google Play App. 3) Searches via the Chinese Firefox acts like I'm searching from China. I often have to explicitly search for / enter an URL to get what I want. 3) The specs here says it has a Radio and I see a "Radio" App listed, but I don't see an Icon for it (even in the Folders). 4) Haven't hooked it up to a cell plan yet, but I've read indications (perhaps they're not for this exact model) that it will only work U.S. 3G vs. 4G LTE or even 4G. Hoping to use it with T-Mobile 4G. It's got great specs, and I believe it costs ~$100 U.S. new, so even as a camera, mobile e-mailer, WiFi Browser, Facebook'er and 3G phone, it's a great deal. Appreciate any help or ideas to get help.
Anonymous, 11 Jun 2016redmi note is a total jurk my life biggest mistake in buying mobile phones was buying xiaomi m... moreXiaomi phones are able to do your own factory pre-installed apps.
Xiaomi not need to root, as it is already rooted for you.
Bought a phone with all malware apps, then from the Xiaomi (miui.com) i removed all malware apps and put my own pre-installed apps.
It is very easy as there is no need to be the expert to do it.
Anyone can do it, so you can remove unnecessary apps, up to you.
use it around 2 weeks now. for the time being, very satisfied. recommended. the price also cheaper compared to other phone with similar spec and reputation.
