I hve face some problem after updating to marshmallow..... like hang-up sometime, phone not responding while using in some apps, restarting automatically, guys I need previous version.
One of my friends purchased xiaomi note 3 from china and gave it to me as present. I inserted AUX cable in the phone but now it turns on and then turns off. No sound at all. Its just six months since its purchase. Any idea how i can repair it in europe ? They have service centers in germany?
Exchanged this (RN3) 3 GB variant with Gold Moto G5 Plus 4GB variant @11700/-.Missing the customization on Moto G5 Plus which were there on RN3. But Camera is outstanding compared to RN3's camera.Overall happy with the decision.

TGVphoto, 24 Mar 2017Its a brand new phone so One would assume the latest updates would be applicable . . . Also I ... moreThat's what happened to me... I trusted the OTA that was sent... it uploaded automatically, I then had a notification to reboot my phone to accept the update.
Tip for anyone - Going forward - make sure you know how to check what the update is & what it entails BEFORE you reboot.. if concerned double check the main/official forums
ENSURE you back up everything of importance... and do so regularly...
Same could be said for any phone, but on the basis that whilst Xiaomi have responded to my emails they don't appear to have but forward any form of formal response to the issues they've 'caused' by sending Beta to random users

When you start a new phone and it states that it requires an update, I tend to believe it.

TGVphoto, 20 Mar 2017Due to the price and rave reviews about the Xaomi Brand I thought I would venture into the And... moreIt would appear that you have likely fallen foul of the issue when Xiaomi helpfully pushed a 'Beta' OTA update to random users.
If you visit the en.MIUI.Com website and lookup MIUI 8.2 Beta Stable V18.104.22.168.MHRMIDL for Redmi Note 3 Special Edition post - you will see the myriad of issues raised.
I was caught out by this (I didn't realise it was something they refer to as a 'nightly' update, usually meaning it's likely Beta test version) - and 7days on still waiting on an update from Xiaomi.
This bricking has typically hit the Redmi Note 3 special edition / international versions (Forum bods appear to refer to it as the 'Kate' version)
Up until owning a shiny new and expensive paperweight I was very happy...now I'm miffed that Xiaomi sent a Beta ROM out to random users, many of, whom like me have no idea about flashing their device to reinstall the MIUI ROM etc so have to either accept a factory reset on the device or wait and see if Xiaomi actually respond to users and do anything.
Has taught me one thing - ensure your 'cloud' storage is set to back up everything, and do regular manual backups too!
