DragonFIRE, 08 Feb 2017My device is on miui 8.1.1 and nowadays my battery draining really fast. Really worried.. i ha... moreAnd for your question, manually adjusting the brightness is better (of course if you aren't lazy to do that), auto brightness requires the ambient light sensor to adjust the brightness according to the lighting conditions around you so the ambient light sensor is always turned on and drains battery, although the battery drained by this feature is minimal.
DragonFIRE, 08 Feb 2017My device is on miui 8.1.1 and nowadays my battery draining really fast. Really worried.. i ha... moreI'm on the same MIUI 8 v126.96.36.199 MHOMIDI Global Stable on my Redmi Note 3 and I can see my battery being drained very fast, even though I have changed every aspect of the settings to get optimum backup (like switched off 1 SIM which I don't use, switched off Wi-Fi access to Google apps all the time, Wallpaper Carousel turned off, brightness always set to minimum, buttons light turned off, auto rotation off, sync off, background data restricted to most of the Google apps, don't use WhatsApp, don't have any kind of media files on my phone, have got just 6 apps installed, no gaming, location turned off and the list is quite long). I'm using my Redmi Note 3 only for continuous browsing on Airtel 3G (Airtel 4G isn't working anymore for me after the Marshmallow update) and I get around 5-6 hours of SOT on a full charge. I think the battery backup is intentionally screwed up by Xiaomi to promote the successor of Redmi Note 3..

mi pro, 08 Feb 2017it is abnormalRedmi note 3 heats up while charging. It's completely normal.
I don't really understand, but when I search this phone in my country, apparently, seller differentiate the usual one and Pro one. Pro comes with Snapdragon, while the other with MediaTek.

Any one get miui 188.8.131.52 uptate for RN3?
Yesterday night i have notification for miui 184.108.40.206 uptate but today morning i have no any update notification. There are showing no update available
I have the same issues of heating up like an Iron box during charging around 50%.
I managed to check the temp in mobile during 52% charge and it was 44 degree celsius.
Mi service center says upto 45 degree is normal, but because its a metallic body.
Both charger and Mobile gets heated up.
Also when I charge with 1A through laptop, its not heating up. Why then in 2A its heating ?
1) Is this a snapdragon chipset 650 issue with fast charging 1.0 ?
2) Is this due to charger issue ?
3) Can this be fixed with software update?
