AnonD-737110, 12 Feb 2018battery drains so fast...i dint know why....any suggestion...?If your device lived long (1.5-2 years), it may be battery degradation, so you might need replace the battery at some service.
AnonD-736869, 12 Feb 2018On Feb 3 I updated to miui 9.2.4 and here's what I noticed shortly after: 1. Battery discharg... moreDo you notice update bar either horizontal line below mi logo just before screen turns on after boot or reboot every time? Mine handset displays such line.
On Feb 3 I updated to miui 9.2.4 and here's what I noticed shortly after:
1. Battery discharge is faster compared to the last update
2. When I mirrored my device to my smart TV, it would disconnect when my phone's display turns off so I have to keep my phone's display on so I can watch YouTube on my TV without being disconnected.
3. When listening to music using any music app, it would suddenly stop on the 3 minute mark of any song. So if you have your phone in your pocket you have to get it out and keep display on so it doesn't suddenly stop.
4. Battery drains faster when I connect my phone to my smart TV using the screen share option of my TV
I haven't notice anything else apart from these.

If we as end user want more android versions go for customs rom. But remember hardware requirement may limit us for this updated.

Xiaomi could update RN3 to Oreo and Google is not the one stopping it.
Xiaomi is the one not giving the update to make people buy new phones.
RN3 could even support Android 10 when it is released.
There are many older phones from other manufacturers which have got many version updates although most of them are flagship devices and not budget or mid range devices.
AnonD-688770, 07 Feb 2018Hi.. if i were to sell my tab a 8.0 p355 to buy a brand new redmi note 3 (sd variant) is it wo... moreI don't think a brand new device will be available.
It will most likely be a refurbished one.
And it's not worth to buy one now even if its brand new.
Wait for Redmi note 5 and if it has snapdragon 632, 636 or much better 660 it is worth.
Even 630 is not worth and much less 625 or 626.
And make sure to buy Global version which will be released a few months after China version as the global version support more 4g bands.
If China variant has available bands you can buy it also.
