Just use Google to see how many countries banned Huawei and other chinese phones. They are banned for a reason, my friend.
S8 User, 25 Jan 2018Sure, but according to most people, it's not a dealbreaker.yeah people's choice.

Go enjoy your own phone bro no one is forcing you to buy Xiaomi.
miui5a, 25 Jan 2018not everyone can buy a 'S8' ,you know. And xiaomi is not that good in camera department. But, Xiaomi is surprisingly good at spyware department.
I agree that not everyone can afford the S8, but I'd still never go for company that's exploiting their employees.
Does it support fast charging technology?..if i buy seperate fast charger
S8 User, 24 Jan 2018I have the S8 and I disabled my LED since I can't see it anyways because I use a book case. So... morepeople uses different cases . some uses flip covers, some uses book cases, some uses normal cover. so it depends. Its better to have the option of LED rather than not to have it. Almost all xiaomi phones have it.

The main feature of this phone is cheap price. And it's quality itself is bad. Camera could be better, display could be better... the overall phone could be better. Top that with the fact that the guy who made that phone for you won't get paid for it. Enjoy your "good deal"...

It's nice to have it and know it you can turn it back on if you want (which I do if I use my phone without a case) but it's not a dealbreaker.
Ali, 24 Jan 2018Above the average?...it means its not for music loverDepends on what you expect really.
If you're going to be using mainstream earphones and headphones and you're gonna listen to MP3 320Kbps then it's more than enough.
But ofc you're not gonna get the same quality as an external DAC with high quality headphones and lossless music.
So if you're into that stuff either get ZTE Axon 7, LG G6+ or LG V30. Or just simply look for a portable DAC which will give you way better results than any smartphone.
This is all if you do have high quality headphones and lossless music. Otherwise you're not gonna notice much difference.
I personally listen to lossless 16-bit FLAC music on my Mi Piston Air earphones on this device and I get a good sound out of these cheap earphones. It also sounds decent with my Siberia 200 headset which by no means is anything special and I only use it for PC gaming.
Mi A1 with its bult-in dedicated amplifier sounded quite better with the Siberia 200 but still not much difference with the more typical Mi Piston Air earphones.
Do not look into any kind of normal smartphone if you have high quality headphones and lossless music unless you gonna use external DAC. Or buy LG G6+, LG V30 or ZTE Axon 7 if you don't want anything external.
But I still think best thing for a music lover would be a standalone DAC that's also a music player.
But if you just want a clean sound with some good bass to listen to your MP3 files on your mainstream headphones this will satisfy you.
Also another option with decent headphone jack sound output would be Mi A1 thanks for its built-in dedicated amplifier its got a wider soundstage and can drive headphones with higher impedances.
Only thing to keep in mind is that users report a hissing sound with the lower impedance headphones when there's nothing playing. I personally tested both Mi 5X (Chinese version of Mi A1 with MIUI) and Mi A1 and got the same result of hissing on both so I doubt it's a software issue. So keep that in mind and test the phone with your desired headphones in a quiet room before buying.
Does anyone knows if there is a built-in display calibration tool? Or if it's possible to do so?
nayeemrs0, 22 Jan 2018How is the sound quality? Speaker & Earphone.Speaker is really loud and clean with minimal distortion. It's not tinny and has quite a good bass.
The headphone jack is also above the average. It also has built-in Equalizer in the settings for the headphone jack.
aszd, 20 Jan 2018who cares ????People who have friends, family etc, cares about notifications with light indicater! It's a budget phone so you can't get always on display so LED light is necessary!
