After using for a week :
Phone is much better than i had expected it to be.
Gaming is flawless ( i mostly play pes 18 , injustice 2, mortal kombat) No heating issues, only gets warm some times during heavy usage.
SD 636 is quite fast compared to the rest. 4 gb ram is more than enough.
Under 14k ; front camera is one of the best , rear camera is also decent but only in daylight.
Battery life can with stand a day under heavy usage n a day n half for moderate users.
PS : if u 've already used an mi phone then definately a worth upgrade.
AnonD-749951, 05 Apr 2018After so much of struggle for a month and half.. Finally got redmi Note 5 Pro Black 6 GB versi... morei agree with you ,xiaomi should come out and say 4gb ones are not available in their inventory and are being manufactured or imported than just misleading customers with including them in flash sales,i tried to buy both on flipkart and mi ,they are gone within milliseconds meanwhile note 5pro 6g ones and note 5 are available f
i was able to add the 6gb one to my cart on mi site but didn't check out as my budget is around 15 k and i don't really need a 6 gb ram phone , also i don't want to spend anything more than that as smartphones easiliy get outdated with newer ones being released every year ,come next 6 months this phone will be replaced by other xiaomi budget phone just like mi a1 got replaced by note 5 pro which was my last phone
sam, 05 Apr 2018can anyone suggest me I'm confused between Redmi note 5 and note 5 pro ...i don't use camera m... morenote 5 pro has newer processor which is sd636 meanwhile the note 5 has 1 year old sd 625,sd 636 is much better processor than sd 625 .so note 5 pro should be the phone you should buy if you can get your hands on it, myself want to buy note 5 pro 4g 64 gb one but they go out of stock in a second even after almost two months since they started selling them and i really don't want to buy a sd625 phone ,not a bad processor but it's 1 year old
Hi after using 1 month ..
In Incoming calls mobile gets hang... in a week once

Front Camera fail in dark room (Brightness issue)
Back camera superb..
No Hanging No Heating Issue
After 60% Charge .. it's taking long time to charge
4G Connectivity Lil problem as compared to Moto and Samsung..(May Be Settings Issue)
Wifi Range also lil not up to ..
Build Quality Super
Infrared Super for Remore
After so much of struggle for a month and half.. Finally got redmi Note 5 Pro Black 6 GB version (4 GB in a flash sale is eye-wash) from flipkart, Have been using this phone for almost a week.. Great touch response, Brighter display, smooth on day to day usage.. Camera Rear - Decent (unable to watermark), Front Camera - Good.. Cover given with the phone is not good.. When comes to gaming this phone is a beast, there is no lag (but after so much of play, experienced a severe lag in Tekken game, let say once in 50th time)... Output from headset is little low as previously i was using redmi note 3 sound output was good in headset. Speaker is loud enough.. Charging takes 2+ hours but battery life is definitely 1 day for heavy user even with games.

Thanks god.. we have $200 capable smartphone that give us enjoy many many heavy instensive graphic games like PUBG mobile and Sims mobile.
We dont have to waste money buy expensive midrange $500 phone from samsung / Huawei / vivo-Oppo..
in order to enjoy smooooth gaming experience.
This Redmi N5 is a truly brilliant choice for heavy gamerz....
alee, 04 Apr 2018Hi Xioami Vendor, i definetly buy it now if it has 5,7". ..other specs is pretty good... ... moreIt is not too big. You can operate with one hand it's the same size. It's same size with redmi note 4 because of bezels. Imagine redmi note 4 with full screen no side bezels this is what redmi note 5 pro size is. But yes it's height is taller.
Anon, 04 Apr 2018"Which is better to buy, oppo a83 or xiaomi redmi note 5 pro or vivo v7 or samsung galaxy j7 "... moreHow about wait for the latest j7 by Samsung. Xiaomi is unreliable for after sales support while oppo/vivo doesn't offer any value for money. Huawei honor devices like 7x.9lite you should consider. They offer acceptable performance for casual use and good quality much better than xiaomi. After sales is good due to it being huawei is a well known manufacturer for smartphone.
First i was unable to buy through flashsale.
i bought Mi note 5 pro, not through flash sale. I asked a staff of mi official store in Bangalore. He helped me book the phone at the same cost & without the difficulties of flash sale.I received the phone through FedEx.

At 12:00 PM, I tried and got added to cart, but before I could pay, it went out of stock... Was randomly browsing other products and thought of checking again at 12:20, and it was available, and I bought it....
"Which is better to buy, oppo a83 or xiaomi redmi note 5 pro or vivo v7 or samsung galaxy j7 "
It depends. Xiaomi phones do not lose warranty after rooting and theres less open community developer support for Oppo/Vivo. There might not be a working TWRP for A83, V7. On the plus side, they are lighter and easier to handle compared to the big heavy Redmi Note 5 and they have a dedicated sdcard slot. The A83 doesn't have a fingerprint sensor.
