Anonymous, 04 Mar 2019I guess its same one in note 5 proAfter the Indian specs for Redmi note 7 was released along with redmi note 7 pro, the popularity of the note 7 model has decreased (Gsmarena). Because people was expecting xiaomi will release the same 48MP redmi note 7 but with a samsung sensor in India. Now the 'pro' model will be a big hit because of that 48MP camera.

Is not mind blowing camera, also sound from video rec os worse than f.e. Note 5 AI (Pro in India). But for 180$ is not bad phone i guess.
So.. Indian and Global , Chinese version will be similar in camera quality..

I am not sure if people have noticed one thing. After every launch, Youtube is full of product reviews. And these guys (professional reviewers) have been handed over review units in advance. The reviews are released only a few minutes or hours after the official launches are over. This was the case with Realme 3 today. And it was the case with Samsung M10, M20 or any phone in the past.
Redmi Note 7 has been the ONLY phone which does not have a review (Indian version) after its launch. Why? Is the camera performance (12MP) so bad that people start geving negative reviews? Or is the intention to mislead buyers by directing them to the reviews of the Chinese units which a few reviewers did in the past few weeks / months.
Redmi surely needs to answer this. It shows clear lack of integrity and ethics if this was the intention and also if they have used the Chinese version camera images (48 MP) during the presentation.

All things are good in this phone, but Xiaomi has no technology like Samsung even they don't know how to make phone with dedicated sd card slot & it's all model comes with hybrid sim slot. :(
Xiaomi is way behind the samsung, Oppo and other leading android phone making brands.

So.. you need to unlock bootloader first, and to flash global rom - Global stable MIUI (for more languages etc).
But if you want playstore (and other Google apps) on your Chinese version Xiaomi, you can easily install them. Its the best to see on Youtube, how. ( It requiers 20 sec to install Google pakage).
