The notification light doesn't lit up when notifications received or while I put it on charging. if anybody knows the solution how to fix this issue, I would highly appreciate.

Been using this phone in Malaysia...
Phone has been decent, but I have a couple of gripes:
Issue #1: If I plug in a headphone (that has remote button), sometimes the volume will be lowered to mute on its own. And when I go to settings -> Sounds -> Earphones and set the remote button to "Control Music Playback" instead of "Control volume level", then sometimes it starts to skip the music tracks. Driving me crazy (!!!) as I heavily use it for my jogging and threadmill sessions. Been doing some reading on the net and it seems to be a common problem and still no fix for it up to now.
Issue #2: The GPS seems to go bonkers whenever i am on Waze. Problems usually surface when switched to another program (like hands free mobile call) before returning to WAze. The GPS will go dead. Had to kill Waze and restart it. Not a good thing to do while driving.
Overall....had not much problem with battery, heating or even gaming, but for me these 2 issues above are more than annoying and even may make me consider to switch phone if I cant get it resolved.

I dont know if you guys suck using this phone or not, I'm using this phone for almost 4 months and having no major problem at all, OTG works, (Flash Drive/ External HDD) Playing games in medium, Gcam Camera, not using custom rom. I don't know why you trash talk this phone LOL, btw this is global RN7

In higher price range, you can trust Google Pixel devices.
What I'm talking about is OS of phones. Not brands. I've found MIUI of Xiaomi/Redmi to drain a lot of battery, cause more heating and offer lower performance than other OS like ColorOS, Android One, EMUI etc.
For example, underclocked SD660 of Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 still offer better performance in games than normal SD660 of Redmi Note 7. With close to 200% better battery.
And SD 835 of Nokia 8 offers about same performance as SD 845 of Pocofone F1 despite it having much weak weaker chipset.
MIUI only leads in offering most features. That's why it's not good for gaming or people who want maximum battery endurance.

Amin , 13 Dec 2019Hi there Stay away from the the xiomi note 7 buy maybe a new version off the phone if it you... moreall the problems you have can be solved by using a custom rom. that said the biggest issues are that low and mid range snapdragons don't get the new hardware video decoders. making mediatek models with mali GPUs the better deal. but custom roms are rare on mediatek devices because it's hard to get source code. and this phone is not a true USB-C device so finding OTG adapters that work is difficult.on the plus side gaming performance is good.

I think this phone is as good as any midrange out there. Has good camera, good battery life, and the build of quality is very good.

Amin , 13 Dec 2019Hi there Stay away from the the xiomi note 7 buy maybe a new version off the phone if it you... moreidk about your 1st problem. but i have suspicions about the 2nd and 3rd. the 2nd sounds like there's a time set to activate DND, thus mutes every sound except alarm. 3rd is most likely when your battery percentage reaches 20% and the notification for low battery pops up. in MIUI 11 some, if not all, apps minimizes into tray & user will be back at home screen. the only app i know would minimize is CoDM, and i'd like to point out that the app isn't on the game booster. i own this phone and it runs MIUI 11. no problem so far. but improvements? yes. lots of it.

I suggest staying away from all MIUI phones if you want good battery endurance. Or if you must, only buy 4500+mAh battery or smaller than 10nm chipset phone. They should last you 2 days on semi-heavy usage.

Stay away from the the xiomi note 7 buy maybe a new version off the phone if it you have good feed backs.tbis mobile phone has Endless problems and they vary from user houser mine has a problem with the notification i have put every app I have on silent yet they still coming in all ours off the day and night thats the 1 issue .second my volume will SWITCH to silent on its own .third when I'm using in app my screen switch to normal screen I have to go back to the app I was on and start again I wich I had something good to say about it but I don't bad investment . manufacturer should offer full refund on the phone or a good discount to users to buy get next vision hopefully with less problems .It's a big money making scam.
Stooooooooooop don't buy this crap pay more money gets something that works no cheap Chinese goods.

Front camera is really bad when doing a video call in fb messenger. So blurred and dark. Xiaomi are not wven responding to solve the issue. Please save your money and buy other phones instead.

Some time camera cant open, same time any app not any response, some time apps are open a long time.
