Anonymous, 05 Jun 2019As you mention in the good chipset it includes SD 660 then it has 4000mah. So can RN7 also goo... moreOnly on paper. It did a great job forcing other brands to make good low priced phones but in my eyes, that's where its role ends. My advise is to go for Realme 3 or if you can afford Realme 3 Pro, that would be perfect. If you don't want Realme 3, go for Asus ZenFone Max Pro M2 but it's not as good as Realme 3 Pro. Otherwise, there is also Realme X with supposedly better camera but I haven't looked in to specifics of that phone yet.
Redmi Note 7 battery timing is really really bad if you place heavy load on it like gaming, using too many apps at once, browsing with many tabs open and so on. I believe it's thanks to MIUI. 4 hours of PUBG on a 4000 mah battery phone is a insult to customers. You might as well buy Nokia 5.1 Plus instead with same battery timing but better performance.
Its quality is nothing like it was advertised. Check drop tests and heating tests of Realme 3 & Asus ZenFone Max Pro M2 to see what a good quality phone should be able to bear.
This phone heats up quite easily while charging as well as during PUBG if you play for more than an hour, while Realme 3 doesn't even hit 40°C after 2-3 hours of PUBG. If you're a gamer, you should never ever buy a phone that heats up easily because Android has a safety mechanism that locks your chipset performance to as low as 30% to avoid damage to components - and thus the lag, crash, random shut downs and screen damage.
MIUI has too many unnecessary processes running in background, including the process that is responsible for showing you ads. The more unnecessary processes go on in background, the less the power the chipset has to spare for tasks a user asks the phone to perform - which also forces the chipset to use more battery.
Stock Android and Android One OS are made to be as close as possible to original Android. This is why they are considered most stable, provide best performance and best battery life.
Luxor, 06 Jun 2019Oh, I see. Not as great as I thought. I was thinking 8 hours at least for whole day. Nah... If you're expecting its battery to last more than a 3000mah battery phone, you're gonna be disappointed. Only buy this phone if you're a loyal Xiaomi customer.
Check Realme 3 Pro, Asus ZenFone Max Pro M2 or Realme 3, otherwise.
All of them have great performance, OS speed, battery, cameras and solid built quality comparable to Nokia 3310. There is also Realme X. Though I prefer iPhone or Sony phones for camera, these are quite impressive as well.
iJustBoughtThisPhone, 06 Jun 2019Very smooth in PUBG, specially if im using gfx tool... its fine on medium graphics but I care ... moreThat doesn't sound like "Smooth" at all lol.
An SD 660 phone should be able to run PUBG on HD graphics with high frame rate, butter smooth. Check PUBG gameplay on Realme 3 to compare. There are actually SD 636 phones like Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1 that can pull that off.
Oherwise, even Adreno 505 can play PUBG smoothly in smooth settings. And that would cost 30-40% of its price.
Anyone who has a Redmi Note 7?
How do you remove the "swipe to unlock" in the home screen?
Each time you open through fingerprint or face recognition, you still have to swipe the screen to unlock it fully.
I find it annoying.
Is there a way to remove this?
Anonymous, 07 Jun 2019Can it play mobile legends high setttings smoothly? Yes, it can, just don't expect the battery to last long.

redAna, 04 Jun 20196 hours max, gaming and casual usage.Oh, I see. Not as great as I thought. I was thinking 8 hours at least for whole day.
Very smooth in PUBG, specially if im using gfx tool... its fine on medium graphics but I care on frames more than graphics... so I would still probably set it on lowest possible settings even on high end phones.
I just bought this RN7 Global version and I don't know why you guys are complaining about the battery. Its 4000mah is good and could last throughout the day, without the heating or the fast draining issue.
Anonymous, 05 Jun 2019My budget is within those range only. :(Don't worry redmi note 7 is a great phone for gaming. But don't expect to play high end games at max settings
