1) Burn in on the display.
2) Dead vibration motor.
3) Battery died within five months of light use.
4) display gets easily scratched.
5) charging port was very wonky straight from the factory
6) UI filled with ads that i was not able to turn off.
7) A data plan is necessary to unlock the device in order to do modding.
8) You cannot expand the internal storage with a sd card without creating a mess.
9) easily bendable, huge problem for someone who keeps their phone in the back pocket.
The device is quite rubbish, not worth the money.

But there are much better options now for the same, or even a lower price. Look into the Redmi Note 10, Mi 11 Lite, or Poco F3. Mi 11 Lite is a bit more pricy but definitely worth it if you're willing to spend a little bit more.
In terms of other brands, you can look into OnePlus, Oppo, and realme (ranked best to worst).
In the end, the choice is yours. I hope you enjoy your experience with whichever phone you chose to own next. :)

Thanks xiaomi for the recent update on MIUI. My redmi note note 7 works excellently with just one problem left. Fixing apn on network configuration on LTE mode only. Every other phone does that exelcept your redmi note 7.

(TT) I guess the expectation is too high.
Thermal issues/overheats seems hard to avoid ,at second half hour of recharging it heats up and lowering to warm(less hot) at the last hour of charging.
Some of GSMarena reviews doesnt match the reality that users get :-(.

Try third party app store like Uptodown or Aptoide to keep apps up to date. As for Google apps, here are the alternatives: OneDrive, Outlook, Opera browser, YouTube as PWA App from webpage.

Also yeah, it heats up sometimes to the point it really is hot to touch.
I also use lowest graphical settings possible with games and I just turn on the 60fps settings. I use wifi for connections and welp, I use headphones for sounds.
