Redmi note 5 ai have same chipset with Asus Max Pro m1 but Redmi couldn't turn on HD-Ultra while asus Max Pro M1 can turn it on.
not sure on the why they still turn it off on redmi note 7 pro, since the lower chipset SD636 with adreno 509 can turn on ultra mode.
possibly for battery saving or thermal control but again not totally sure on the why and yes for now you can't turn on HD-ultra setting.

The screen doesn't support HDR. For now HDR capable screen is mostly Flagship only. So yeah, no HDR Mode.

DaKi, 16 Mar 2019Should I go for this one or for Samsung M20 or 30?If your budget can scretch a bit, Obviously take note 7 pro if you want more powerful processing power, gaming smoothness, and better camera.
But if you want better screen and longer battery life, take M30.
To note if you want to play heavy game like PUBG, avoid M30/20. its only have half of the VGA/GPU power of Note 7 pro.
