well i believe redmi note 8 wont be better than redmi note 7, it might slightly slower or just the same at all!!
they might using a newer 11mm snapdragon, but with 4x2ghz and 4x1.8 ghz while note 7 was 4x.2.2ghz, the gpu it self are on the same level which was the entry level , infact note7 was slightly better on the gpu if there is non of new tech which usually only available on newer chipset.
their extra point might be on the sd card which doesnt sharing with their 2nd simcard and slightly better on their rear camera.. slightly...
and rest of them is totally same from redmi note 7, its like they are launching an revision of redmi note 7 instead than a newer generation -_-".
even their note 8 pro only have 200 points diff from redmi note 7

if you guys are still not sure which phone to buy between realme5 @$200usd , oppo reno2 @$446usd, redmi note 8@$135usd and go on..
if you just looking for the phone with performance with the most cheapest price, i would like to suggest pocophone f1 for $265 you will get something near to mi 8 in performance without their premium looks etc
but if you also need the camera, perhaps redmi note 8 pro could be a great choice for money versus result, which you will get a great result with a cheapest price for now..
their chipset might not a great one, but they are using a liquid cooler, although there is no details about how and what kind of liquid they are using.. they wont use a nitro wont they? :D
but still for its onyl $217, just $60 more than redmi note 8 you will already have 6gb in ram, slightly better processor, far better rear camera, extra 500 mAh in battery, slightly better selfie camera, NFC (yes redmi note 8 doesnt have NFC!)

Sorry for u if it's really the problem, im asking because i once had redmi note 5 and had this problem even after changing the screen 3 times in the xiaomi center (it was still in warranty), so i was thinking about getting the new note 8 so i have to be really sure this time that im not facing the same problem again.

Ez, 27 Oct 2019Has anyone faced an image retention (screen ghosting) problem with redmi note 8 ??Yes grey dots with wifi logos in the top n bottom of the screen couldn't took the screen shot coz on touching the screen it was gone to normal... Happened to the phone once 3 times inside 1 minute
