Been using it for quite some time now and it has been great with all feature, although at a point it had battery draining issue but later became normal and lasted just as it should.. Rain resistant and good performance..
just hope MIUI 12 and Android 10 will be available before the end of the year before switching to Poco X3 or 10T lite

I had this phone for 2 months till i was tired of this phones performance and battery life. It barely gave me 5 hours sot. It used to lag many times. That's why I think it is a garbage phone. I also dislike placing logo on the bezels of a phone as it is distracting when you are viewing the screen. Pretty sure many other people will agree with that. I don't know why you got so upset with my opinion, you speak as if you designed phone yourself, not xiaomi.
And I don't have anything against xiaomi, I am actually using a redmi 9 now and it's so much better.

and if the logo of the maker disturbs you, then don't buy anything from the maker.

This phone is garbage. Camera, display, design, processor speed, battery life, sound quality, ram management everything sucks. The design is not so good. Just because it is a glass back phone doesn't mean its pretty. Also the redmi logo on the chin bezel of the display is very disturbing and intrusive. I also hate nokia phones for this reason, we don't need to be reminded every second which brand of phone we are using lol.

At first great. Great specs. For most. However in my area, it's very insensitive to network connection. I have a working WiFi, 4G, but I often experience disconnection for this phone after a few months use.

used for 3 months, good mid phone with lowprices
performance are better if you install custom rom or change to xiaomi eu, i use bliss and inception kernel and could get sot around 12-15 hours
there's new high end game released recently, genshin impact and it run smooth with all medium settings (no overclock)
custom settings high render resolution and 3 low settings is a good combination, the game looks beautiful and still fluid as well
because the phone support battery charging idle mode (using charger power to run the phone without charging the battery) it could run like laptop without losing battery power and no excessive heat, this feature need specific kernel like inception so you need to install yourself in twrp
it's good phone anyway if you like modding, the community also flourishing (search out redmi note 8 telegram group) not like the note 8 pro because there's not much risk for dead brick if you're not an idiot and follow instructions correctly

Have everything i want, verry good loking phone ,so far only 1 issue i have ,verry slow with a wifi and cant charge the battery when play games,anything else is verry good ,moonlight white colour is so much pretty

I had brought this phone( Redmi note 8) on 25 may 2020 just because my budget was tight.
Can I can say this is the worst decision I have ever made.
This phone has several problems that I noticed within a month like :-
> very slow when compared to other phones released in 2019
> the camera always has a issues ( the normal camera takes too long to focus the image and still gives a partially blur image)
> the battery saver mode works when it wants to work ( sometimes the battery drains like hell.... It loses all the battery within 3 hrs)
> when the Viberations are kept off, it still viberates when I use the keypad.
> also u must keep using the cleaner every now and them else ur apps will start working slow or the screen might hang or the apps simply closes
> sometimes the phone screen just goes blank when u bring ur finger close to the screen.
I am completely fed up with this phone😡😡
U get various better phones in the same price range and that too from better companies.
Even my mom has a Redmi 6a and she too is frustrated with that phone.
So answer to ur question-
I recommend u to go for some other phone instead of this.... Better go for a better company
If u want a good quality phone then I recommend u to go with OnePlus or Samsung
This is my opinion.... Now it's ur choice
