The real temparent is shown when you pu... moreBluetooth Wi-fi interence issues are known phenomenon which is caused by bad standarts and usually same chip is responsible for both of them so they don't usually work well together forexample I had the same issue on my laptop computer so I stopped using bluetooth altogether but yeah you can count it because of being a cheap production I guess?

I installed notification tester, set it up to 2 minutes and I got the notification. Then I set it up for 1 minute and the message only appeard after I pressed the power button 3 minutes later. A phone that is unusable for messaging....ingenious.

Gaming experience is less than moderate. How In the world would adreno 512 outperform 610? SD665 suppose to be and upgrade on 660 but 660 still outperforms 665. So annoying

The real temparent is shown when you put a plenty of load on the device ... I dont play games or use much camera ... But all in all you have to face major problems on the phone ... Just connect a bluetooth head set and use wifi .... You will surely seen that it is a hardware bloatware

An OS has nothing to do with the engine or code of a game for example. Xiaomi often suffers deep sleep issues i.e. notifications are delayed or not pushed or the battery just drains over night. I had the latter with Samsung once but it was fixed, unlike with Xiaomi.
I did a factory reset, installed 1 app without any changes and STILL it failed to push a notification. This is a MIUI issue and always has been.

interesting for 3 months and no problem, i wonder if all these problems come from an application that installs later and they require you to agree for they can use or they can make a change in to (camera, wifi, microphone, contacts,storage, etc.) but no one pays attention to it and they say problems come later, my guess is that all these problems come from additional applications and most of all from the games ,they are all full of additions and changes,think about it,,,,it is my opinion and no one to mention.

I bought this phone 2 weaks ago. I do not know why people are saying that battery is bad . when i play pubg for 30 minutes i lose 8% of battery. and also notification is working well. In my opinion device deserves to its money.

Anyone who is planning to buy this phone i suggest you to NEVER buy this disgusting phone and save yourself from frustration...
What a disgusting phone it is! My camera is hanged as soon as i open it! Keep opening itself and hanging and lagging! My photos are being corrupted and i keep loosing photos from galleries,,, f***ing so many lags!

Here are my honest eviews about redmi note 8 after 6 months usage.
Pros:
1.good ram management
2.recent app window is decent
3. Charging time is good
4.miui has decent options and layout
5. Speakers sounds amazing.
6. Camera is good .eis is nice ... etc
7. Hd stream on all streaming app is valid by widevine L1 support.
8. Gcam support is very nice
9. Notification led light is good
10. Motion control are good. Second space option is good too.
11. Shuffling through 2 sims for sim data is just awsome . Signals never wash out when switching from sim 1 to 2 and vice versa.
Cons:
1. Poor battery timing avg soc 6-7 hours with no gaming and moderate use. (Pathetic)
2. The miui interface is not mature . It has some glitches. It oftens forget either screen rotation is on or not. Notification shade expandes out of screen if turn from landscape view to portrait view.
3. Notifications arrive late.
4. Wifi connectivity and surfing is very much slow.
5. Wifi speed crashes to almost zero when connecting with bluetooth device.
6. Contacts cannot be saved on sim card.
7. MIUI developing services are pathetic.
8. Sound recording has low voice . I often felt that on whats app and other social media outgoing voice messages on other devices.
9. Ear piece speaker for attending calls has low voice output.
10. Due to emmc storage data sharing through share it app or zapya never exceeds than 2.4 mbps.
11. Reading and writing information on internal storage as well as on sd card is laggy.
12. Even though the 3d technology of speaker, You cannot hear the sound of ringing if cell phone is in your pocket . 6 out of 10 times i never heard the phone ringing.
13. Infrared is just only for name . Often fails to operate rightly.
14. Gaming experience is moderate for all renowned games.
15. If you clear the notifications from notification panel . The app badges dont show the unread count.
16. In some regions the thems dont work. If u switch region from your country to others then it will work. For indian region all options wotk but for some others they dont. It has a drawback because calendar shows you events for the selected region. For examle i am from Pak and it shows me the diwali, holi and some other events which i have nothing to do with them.
Finally overall experience is average. You should keep in mind that if some company like xiomi gives you some better features at low price then there must be some draw backs in the devices which you will face time after. It is as like they have bought the cell phone components from different manufacturers in bulk and made a company under the name xiomi or redmi . And then some components dont align or coherent with each other. It requires a lot of time for xiomi to mature their devices. Otherwise collapse.

in my opinion cheap plastic is already for cheap phones, because glass is now in fashion, with redmi note 8 'moon white' it is very nice as with Honor 8x which looks very attractive thanks to a reflective lattice structure with 15 layers back aurora glass and metal frame as well as NFC that allow you to make contactless payments just about everywhere these days and this is minus for realme 5pro,so other things are pretty much the same here and there, but that's my opinion and I don't want it to be imposed

I have both two and in my opinion in favor of Honor 8x is better with android -EMUI 10.0 and simpler better for handling and display which is a bit bigger but noticeable and you have one-handed mode, applications are updated daily by several of them as opposed to Redmi note 8 where applications are rarely updated.
But Redmi note 8 advantage is of the brighter display on the sun light, the battery lasts longer and the camera may be a little better, but 'night mode' at Honor 8x is better and pro mode has more options, what annoying me at Redmi note 8 is the fingerprint sensor ,which, even though I didn't use it, but still when the phone is idle and when I accidentally touch the fingerprint sensor then the display lights up.
The conclusion is that both are great and it's hard to decide which one is better,

If you want an upgrade, go for phones like Realme 5 Pro. Better camera, performance, battery and some extra features.
