I am not receiving emergency alerts. I turned everything on in Emergency Alert Settings yet I'm not receiving them. My Huawei phone received all alerts. Those owners who are in the Philippines kindly help. Thanks

Be sure Rn8 will get android 10 and android 11 in future because it has snapdragon soc in fact all phones with snapdragon soc get 2 version of android at least

I've read it somewhere. But there is a rule that they have to provide security updates atleast every three months.
The Redmi 7 Pro has received Android 10 but the regular 7 didn't. I don't know if non Pro models get it. I think atleast 1 "major" update is going to come to Redmi phones (with snapdragon SoC's). After that there will probably be MIUI updates only.

Redmi is no slouch, it's really a great phone for the money. But I personally haven't used a Redmi. My cousins (3 of them) have Redmi note 7 and they haven't complained anything about the phones.
On the other hand, Nokia's launch price was 400$, twice as expensive as the Redmi. Also note that in the Nokia 7 plus forum, there are many complaints about a headphone jack problem. (Some users also claim their devices are in real good condition without any issues)
Choice is yours. Don't purchase without warranty. If you can, pay a little extra and get an extended warranty. Get the most appealing device for you.
