this phone signal is bad .. cant use messenger well inside my room .. compared to my old phone that i can do anything .. its not recommended for indoor user like me so sad and disappointing phone ..

Also it has BT 5.0 why gsmarena states it has 4.2 is beyond me.

My 5-day Old Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, actual use and Careful Measurements of Battery, Charging rate with supplied "Fast Charger" and Discharging cycle.
Battery is ~ 3700mAh, that's 92.5% of the spec of 4000mAh.
The Charger is 5V@3A (15W) / 9V@2A / 12W@1.5A (18W).
(It's actually ~< 15W for this phone)
It's charging at ~ 0.68C to 0.69C (Modest Charging rate, definitely NOT Fast Charging)
10-80% = 70% Charging takes 61 mins
10-100% Charging takes 110 mins
0-100% Charging will take 111 mins (Calculated, Not measured)
100-10% = 90% discharge lasted ~4 days or 96 hrs of Normal Use.
Overall Comments:
Modest Charging, Not Fast Charging.
High Capacity Battery ~ 3700 mAh Actual.
MiUI 11 (Android 9)

People saying that RN8 Pro sucks because of mediatek are clueless and in denial. It is 10x better than RN8 in terms of raw performance. In fact, RN8s performance is even a downgrade from RN7. 2.0Ghz Vs 2.2GHz on the same kyro 260 architecture.

I have the Note 8 in my Amazon shopping cart and need to decide if it is worth switching from a Galaxy A50. The under-display fingerprint scanner pretty much ruined the A50 for me. Since Samsung didn't fix it for 2 months now, I am done with the brand.
I have used a Xiaomi phone in the past and it wasn't the best experience with MIUI. That said, it was an imported mediatek device. Is the usability any better now? Are there issues with notifications not showing up? Thanks in advance.

Couldn't recommend this phone more...beautiful build quality, great screen, good sound, very good cameras (install Gcam if you have problems), snappy (for non-gamers), and long battery life... What more can you ask for at this price???
