i got it today and... moreYour only solution so far is actually getting a different MIUI ROM, and good luck doing so. Otherwise you gotta stick with Google (Due to that's one of the Global ROMs)
Well in my opinion, Google Dial and Contacts and Messages isn't a huge compromise to me, any phone i buy, I don't care if it hasn't got a call recorder or limited options, im still fine with it and i don't see the point in returning the phone because of this, this is still a decent phone, no matter the software.

What a disappointment !!!
This phone is reviewed very high in GSM Arena,
i got it today and now i am realizing that the MIUI doe not include its own dial, contact and sms app.
It uses the google dial app, google contacts ...
why ??
Is there a solution to this ?
I dont want to share my contacts with google
Google dial and contact app is horrible
I can not do a dedicated ringtone for contact groups for example
does anyone fixed this issue please ?

I don't use much data on my phone , my problem starts when I change my old phone and start to use Redmi Note 8 Pro. I tried to reset network settings but after that phone automatically sat up access point names using hs.vodafone.ie also . Provide operator said I have to delete it myself from my phone which I can't. I did many ways to do it and it is not possible . It seems to be set up with the phone and I don't have an access to change it. My monthly plan is 20 GB data for free. That is really strange situation for me. I asked my friends and they were in a shock as they never heard about that situation before.

2. What is your plan, do you have GBs or MBs of data or do you just charge money for data?
3. Try resetting your APN(s), it will give you the Default APN your Vodafone provider uses
4. Are you sure there isn't any apps in the background wasting mobile data?
5. Do you watch YouTube (Or videos on let's say Facebook or Instagram) a lot while on data or Browsing things that take a lot of MBs to load? Because those tend to also waste data depending on per MB

Please can anybody help me here ? I live in Ireland and have a vodafone network . I have a problem with my data mobile . Every time I use it it charged me a lot but I have a free internet in my monthly plan. I called my vodafone network and they said I have to delete hs.vodafone.ie in the access point names . It is not possible to do it . Is there anybody who has that mobile phone and had any problem with vodafone network which charges money for data mobile (not Wi Fi). Please help me

If I won't be back with a new comment then what I'm saying is true. LCDs doesn't care about color. It's not like the SAMOLED ones. The SAMOLED ones just don't turn on (the pixels) if it is dark (true black). LCDs doesn't care about this. They are always on and they don't care what color they display. It's the same thing. You may find dark mode a little bit better but with an insignificant improvement. So in conclusion, it doesn't matter what color it displays, it consumes the same amount of battery, that's why it doesn't even matter if you have a black / white background or a rainbow one.

Riyan, 20 Mar 2020How Identify Global, Indian & Chinese Version? #helpOh and by the way (completely forgot) look on the back of your phone. If there's a code ending in G your phone is the global version. If it has an I then it is the Indian version. This doesn't has to do with the ROMs tho.

Go to: Settings > About phone > MIUI version
There you will probably see your ROM, mine is MIUI Global 11.0.2 | Stable 11.0.2.0(QGGEUXM)

#helpit depends where you live, when you are outside of China and India, you will always be finding the Global models, even on the Germany Amazon, but if you buy it let's say in China or India in both Indian Amazon and maybe in a Chinese online store then yeah you would end up looking for the actual Indian/Chinese Models.
I wonder if you are perhaps talking about Global ROMs? as there is an indian one (Global ROM) that includes Mi Caller app
