Stop this BS with no Android 10 update due to Mediatek processor already. The Redmi Note Pro series are some of the most popular phones made by Xiaomi, and surely the Note 8 Pro will receive many updates in the next 2 years at least.
This phone offers insane value for what you pay - to those hesitating, just go buy it. Naturally, the phones that come in the future will be improved and offer better specs. Still, you can always sell your phone and buy a new one, if having the latest tech is what you are after.

Compare to redmi note 7 you ll not be able to use ARCore and perhaps there ll no android 10 update.
If you buy a next gen phone model ( RMN7 to RMN8), buyer expect to have more functionalities not loose functionalities.

Mediatek that has 5g chip ( intel and apple not) has the knowledge to update their chip to android 10 and ARCore.
Most Huawei and Samsung LG phone support ARCore ( snapdragon )...in redmi model only k20 ( SD855 !!) support ARCore. With no mediatek information...buy a SN Qualcomm ( Xiaomi has SD) and with no update go far from mediatek..

Got this Redmi Note 8 Pro,.a couple of days ago'.
The phone is breathtakingly awesome.
I just received a Notification for Update.
Considering the fact that everything about this phone is excellent, I' m kind of sceptical in embarking on the update.
I've heard tales about phones ending up in somekind of disaster after an update.
Can any of you good people advice Daddymeche?
